The Tribal Partnerships Program (“TPP”) is seeking a one-year Project Attorney with 5-7 years of litigation experience to support the team while a team member is on leave. Under the supervision of the Managing Attorney, the Project Attorney will support TPP’s litigation and legal advocacy. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours/week. The successful candidate may work remotely from the U.S. or on a hybrid schedule from one of Earthjustice’s offices and must be willing to travel as needed. The Team counsels the Retirement Board and the San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (SFERS), which administers, manages, and operates the City’s retirement plans. SFERS serves approximately 81,000 members and beneficiaries, and manages approximately $40 billion in assets. The Retirement Board also administers the San Francisco Deferred Compensation Plan (SFDCP), which has over 37,000 participants and approximately $6.7 billion in assets.
