Job Description MES Support Engineer Job Summary: We are looking for multiple skilled MES Support Engineers to join our team and provide comprehensive operational support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and associated IT infrastructure across production lines. This role demands hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, system deployment, and asset management to ensure continuous production uptime and successful integration of MES with manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities: • • Provide real-time operational support for MES applications and IT hardware (desktops, printers, barcode scanners) across rotating production shifts to reduce or eliminate downtime., • • Support project deployments of MES applications to new manufacturing lines, including testing of newly developed features and functionality., • • Manage MES-related assets including tracking new deployments, replacements, and ensuring alignment with IT inventory policies., • • Maintain detailed documentation, including Process Change Notices, Deviation Requests, and Approval Forms, in compliance with company standards., • • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support seamless machine integration with MES systems.Mandatory Skill Sets:, • • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware issues involving desktops, industrial printers, and barcode scanning systems within high-throughput manufacturing environments., • • Solid understanding of MES platforms, with hands-on experience supporting live production environments and configuring system behaviors aligned to operational workflows., • • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve network-level connectivity and protocol issues affecting MES and related IT systems., • • Advanced expertise in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows-based MES client applications, including registry-level customizations and compatibility management.Desirable Skill Sets:, • • knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) – useful for querying logs or troubleshooting backend issues., • • Experience or familiarity with SCADA systems and PLC integrations., • • Background in machine automation using sensors, PLCs, and industrial control systems.Qualifications:, • • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field., • • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in MES support, or manufacturing systems support., • • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across shifts in a fast-paced production environment., • • Proactive attitude toward troubleshooting, learning, and system improvement., • • Provide real-time, on‑site support for MES applications and IT hardware, including desktops, printers, and barcode scanners, during rotating shifts, ensuring minimal production downtime., • • Participate in the full lifecycle deployment of MES systems to new production lines, from configuration and functional testing to validation and go-live., • • Track and manage MES-related assets, ensuring accurate inventory, deployment records, and lifecycle documentation., • • Lead or coordinate change management, including drafting Process Change Notices (PCNs), handling Deviations, approvals, and maintaining documentation., • • Serve as a key liaison with external vendors and internal teams to support seamless machine integrations and interfaces between equipment (PLCs, SCADA systems) and the MES., • • Support continuous improvement efforts, monitoring MES performance, recommending workflows optimizations, and ensuring that MES operations align with efficiency goals and production KPIs.
