Job DescriptionJob Title: Construction Site Safety CoordinatorJob Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Safety Coordinator to support safety operations across active construction job sites. This role is responsible for conducting site safety orientations, new hire training, routine safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, confident working in fast-paced construction environments, and bilingual in English and Spanish to effectively communicate safety expectations to a diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities • Conduct new hire safety orientations and job site–specific safety briefings for employees, subcontractors, and visitors., • Perform daily and weekly job site safety inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards., • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and project-specific safety plans., • Lead and support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing training sessions., • Partner with field supervisors, project managers, and crews to promote a strong, proactive safety culture., • Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; complete reports, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions., • Monitor and enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices on-site., • Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports, training records, incident logs, and corrective action tracking., • Assist with site audits, pre-task planning, and job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA)., • Serve as a visible safety presence on construction sites, providing real-time coaching and guidance., • Stay current on construction safety regulations, best practices, and industry trends to support continuous improvement.Required Qualifications & Skills, • OSHA 30 Construction certification (required), • Proven experience in construction site safety or field-based safety coordination, • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, hazard recognition, and incident prevention, • Experience conducting site safety inspections, audits, and field observations, • Hands-on experience delivering new hire training and on-site safety orientations, • Knowledge of PPE requirements, fall protection, equipment safety, and construction best practices, • Ability to communicate clearly with crews, supervisors, and management, • Strong organizational and documentation skillsPreferred Qualifications, • Bilingual, • Experience working with subcontractors and multi-employer job sites, • Familiarity with daily job site reporting and safety management systems Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing facility with shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Hourly pay is flexible up to $28/hr. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
