This is a pivotal time to join Webb, following the successful completion of The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign for Webb, a $200+ million initiative that has elevated philanthropic momentum across our global community. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for executing all aspects of The Webb Fund solicitations, Webb’s annual giving program that supports every student, every day. This is a pivotal and highly visible role on the team, and it calls for someone with initiative, curiosity, analytical skills, and a collaborative spirit. As a key contributor, this position plays a strategic and central part in building a sustainable culture of philanthropy at Webb. This position interacts with administrators, faculty, staff, students, families, affiliates, and visitors to the campus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Job responsibilities are assigned by the Director of Development, who may, in their sole discretion, alter, add to, or eliminate job assignments at any time, with or without prior notice. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fundraising Strategy & Execution: • Collaborate with the Director of Development to design and implement a strategic, multi-channel annual giving program that increases participation and raises dollars from alumni, parents, students, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends., • Use wealth screening data, giving history, staff insights, and other metrics to segment constituents and inform personalized solicitations and targeted appeals., • Manage the calendar and execution of all annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, email, Giving Day, reunion giving, and senior class/young alumni efforts., • Develop and implement stewardship strategies for leadership-level annual donors, focusing on retention, upgrade opportunities, and long-term engagement., • Collaborate with the Directors of Alumni & Donor Relations and Parent Relations to recruit, train, and support parent and alumni fundraising volunteers, such as the Affiliates, class agents, and reunion committees., • Work collaboratively with the entire Advancement department to coordinate Webb Fund staff outreach and solicitation., • Oversee the creation and execution of all annual giving marketing collateral, including brochures, letters, email appeals, and social media content., • Project-manage communications efforts in partnership with the Communications team to create compelling digital and video storytelling aligned with Webb’s mission and philanthropic priorities., • Work closely with the Advancement Services team to ensure timely and accurate donor recognition, pledge reminders, and data reporting., • Monitor and analyze giving trends, track campaign progress toward goals, and provide reports for school leadership, volunteer committees, and the Board Advancement Committee., • Assist with grant proposals and post-award reports for funders supporting annual, budget-relieving initiatives., • Manage the annual giving budget, including vendor relationships, production schedules, and ROI tracking., • Participate in internal meetings and long-term fundraising planning discussions., • Research and implement best practices in annual giving; bring fresh ideas and creative energy to the role. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in fundraising, annual giving, volunteer management, digital fundraising, or higher education advancement is required. KNOWLDEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Experience in independent schools or similar environments is highly preferred., • Demonstrated success with annual giving campaigns and donor segmentation strategies., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail., • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines., • Data-informed mindset with comfort using CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT a plus factor), Excel, and analytics platforms., • Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects., • Experience managing creative content production for social, digital, and print channels., • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or basic video editing is a plus., • Ability to work some evenings and weekends to support Advancement events., • Contributes to the delivery of the mission, vision, and values of the school community., • Demonstrates inclusive and equitable practices to ensure that all members of the community feel a sense of belonging., • Follows community policies and procedures and models positive behavior., • Works effectively as a team member and develops professional and productive relationships with colleagues., • Understands boundaries and embraces responsibility for the care of students in loco parentis., • Promotes a trust-based community by keeping appropriate confidence., • Manages time effectively and meets deadlines and commitments., • Communicates and responds to all school communications in a timely manner. COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY Anticipated salary range: $70,000-$75,000/Annually • The Webb Schools offer competitive compensation.
