Job DescriptionDescription: AirNet II is a renowned aviation leader and part of the Kalitta family of companies, specializing in scheduled and on-demand cargo charter services. The position will be based in Columbus, OH (LCK). Operating a fleet of Beechcraft Barons and Bombardier Learjets, AirNet II is a premier provider of industries that require immediate turn-time and specialized handling. Job Summary: AirNet II A&P Mechanics will insures inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with the appropriate aircraft maintenance manual, company policies and procedures, and the Repair Station manual. Functions/Responsibility: • Preflight and post flight checks for the aircraft, • Discrepancy repair on the aircraft, • Safely work in a shop environment using tools and equipment as necessary, • Complete assigned tasks outdoors and in inclement weather if required, • Insure that work performed gets inspected by the appropriate aircraft inspection personnel, • Complete required documentation for work performed, • Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust and repair aircraft and/or engines as assigned, • Complete required training as assigned, • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, • Use basic computer skills to complete and document tasks, • Work productively individually or with an assigned crew, • Works with integrity and desire to maintain a high quality standard, • Report failures or deficiencies immediately, • Pass background check and random DOT drug testing, • A valid Unrestricted Driver’s License, • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience preferred, • Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software & internet proficiency, • Candidate must be able to understand, read and write English, • Candidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check, • Candidate should be motivated, resourceful, energetic, organized, and able to manage and be managed, • Candidate must be reliable, punctual and flexible, • Candidate must be able to multi-task, respect and maintain confidentiality, • Candidate must be ethical, trustworthy with sensitive information, • Candidate must be service oriented and able to work at a fast pace and handle stress and problematic issues well with a good attitude, • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work within a team-focused environment, • Candidate must be respectful of diverse populations and cultures The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, • Light to moderate lifting is required, • Must be able to climb and use a ladder, work stands, platforms and lift equipment, • Operation based in Columbus, OH at Rickenbacker International (LCK), • There is no ability to work from home, • Must have jet experience, • Must be at least 18 years of age, • Day Shift, • Employer Provided:, • Short Term, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Basic Life Insurance with Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, • Travel Assistance Program, • Fidelity 401K with starting at match, • Employee Elective:, • BCBS – Medical 500 PPO and 1000 PPO options, Dental PPO, Prescription starting after 60 days, • EyeMed - Vision, • Flexible Spending Account – Medical and Dependent Care, • Long Term Disability, • Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Child, • Accident and Critical Illness Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Child, • Hospital Indemnity for Employee, Spouse, and Child, • Met Law Coverage, • Nationwide Voluntary Pet Insurance
