Job Description Job Summary: We are currently seeking a part time position with expectation to change into a full time position for a front desk/receptionist for physical therapy outpatient clinic serving people in the El Paso and Las Cruces region. As a front desk/receptionist, you will be delegated the position of overseeing administrative duties. Job Duties: · Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner. · Scheduling of patients, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. · Calling doctors’ offices. · Assisting with filing, scanning, faxing, and other administrative duties as needed. · Answering telephone calls, faxes, and emails from patients or Dr’s offices and directing them to relevant staff. · Take messages, and return calls as needed · Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and collect necessary patient documentation, as well as claim submissions. · Process patient check-in and check-out, including collecting payments and issuing receipts. · Maintain organized and accurate patient records in the EMR system. · Communicate effectively with therapists and other staff regarding scheduling or patient needs. · Monitoring inventory for office supplies and equipment supplies. · Respond to record requests · Collect and sort all mail and packages · Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area. Qualifications:: • High School diploma/GED equivalent required (Associate degree preferred.)., • Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus., • Administrative experience in healthcare setting or clerical is preferred, • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills., • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning clinic-specific EMR systems., • Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care, • Ability to type accurately and efficiently Work Schedule: · Initial Part-Time Schedule: Monday – Thursday 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm · Transitional Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Compensation: • Competitive pay based on experience.
