As the volume and acuity of our patients has grown, we are looking to bolster our inpatient obstetric service with 24/7 APP coverage. Strong clinical reasoning and excellent communication skills required. This role functions both independently and in collaboration with nurses, residents, and attending physicians. This position will report to the OB/GYN Hospitalist Director. Advanced Practitioner Role Scope: * Care for patients admitted or being triaged across our Obstetric service line. * Help on Labor and Delivery with admissions, magnesium sulfate checks and labor checks when residents unavailable, during sign-out and periods of higher volume. * Rounding and evaluating our antepartum patients as needed based on volume and resident coverage. Evaluation may include concerns for labor, elevated BP’s, infection or medication orders.
