Job Description ASL Driver USA Waste and Recycling USA Waste and Recycling, Inc Position Summary: The Residential Driver operates heavy-duty trucks and is responsible for collecting residential household waste or recyclable materials. The driver will transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. The driver safely maneuvers vehicles in residential environments. Navigate high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots. USA Waste & Recycling is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $3000, depending on experience. Why USA Waste & Recycling • $3000 sign-on bonus, • Additional bonus potential, • 401 (K), Roth, and Profit Sharing/Match Plans, • Competitive compensation, • Modern fleet with top technology, • New truck fleet every 5 years, • Excellent benefits package, • Operates vehicles in accordance with the Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws., • Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checks utilizing the standards Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)., • Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch., • Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by the Company., • Works closely with the Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices., • Notifies the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage., • Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles, too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards., • Communicates customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager., • Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris., • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and check-out process., • Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs., • Works with leadership to implement strategies for community and municipal outreach., • Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards., • Customer-focused., • Safety knowledgeable and focused, • Professional in appearance and demeanor, • Respectful of Company vehicles and equipment, • Quality-oriented, • Reliable and dependable, • Able to adapt to changing work requirements on a daily/hourly basis., • Exceptional driving skills, • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License., • Class A or B Commercial Driver's license with an air-brake endorsement is a plus., • Must be at least 21 years of age, • Acceptable driving record, • Able to meet all Department of Transportation requirements., • Family-Oriented Environment, • Excellent Benefits and Bonus Potential Listed below are key points regarding the job's environmental demands and work environment.
