The Project Visual Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for the placement of home accents within project scope, leading visual team members during installations, conducting product specifications and PCW audits, and assisting with planning and product placement strategies. Success in this role requires a strong creative vision, keen attention to detail, and the ability to translate home accent concepts into compelling, showroom-ready displays. You will help drive business performance by maximizing showroom real estate, managing project timelines efficiently, and supporting the overall brand strategy. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Visual Merchandising Department at CITY Furniture. Position Title: Project Visual Merchandising Coordinator Reports To: Visual Merchandising Project Manager Location: On-site/Various showrooms throughout the company Department/Sub-Department: Merchandising Visual Estimated pay range: $21 What You’ll Do*… As a Traveling Project Visual Merchandising Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to: • Home Accents Management – Oversee the strategic placement of accessories and wall décor throughout the showroom. Ensure all home accents are properly tagged and labeled for sale. Execute company directives by distributing and setting accessories throughout showroom displays during projects. Conduct showroom audits to verify appropriate accent density and accurate component displays. (40%), • Merchandising Execution – Review and implement floor plan notes to support smooth product transitions and maintain merchandising standards. Facilitate product changes, create stock transfer documents, and oversee truck deliveries to ensure alignment with merchandising direction. Order showroom products based on add/drop lists and Floor Plan Notes, ensuring accurate placement within designated vignettes. Provide accurate PO documentation for Accounting and print and install new product price tags. (25%), • Project Planning – Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Project Manager to complete detailed project planning worksheets outlining daily goals, product adds/drops, and required resources. Plan display product movement and address layout challenges to optimize product placement and density. Conduct pre-project site visits and review layout maps to ensure feasibility and alignment. (15%), • Team Involvement & Communication – Fosters effective communication across all teams involved in merchandising projects. Leads kickoff meetings at the start of each project and conducts daily AM and PM check-ins with project and showroom teams. Actively seeks feedback from sales and marketing departments, making necessary adjustments to improve execution. Builds strong partnerships and maintains open dialogue between Sales, Visual, and Merchandising teams. Collaboration with Merchandise Planning on showroom floor plans, product assortments, planned transitions, and project materials. Communicates regularly with visual leadership regarding product placement, showroom status, and resource allocation. Provides valuable feedback to Merchandising and Operations teams on product quality, packaging, and delivery. Leads Ultimate Update meetings to align individual and team efforts with company-wide goals. (10%), • Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role., • Additional duties may be assigned as needed, beyond those listed in the responsibilities.
