Company: Alliance Risk Industry: Insurance & Risk Management Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid — in-office 3 days/week) Employment Type: Full-Time Who We Are Alliance Risk is a full-service independent insurance brokerage licensed in all 50 states, specializing in hard-to-place specialty lines — D&O, E&O, cyber, EPLI, builders risk, environmental, product liability, and more. We partner with A-rated carriers and work with high-growth companies across technology, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, and beyond. Founded by experienced operators with backgrounds in fintech and venture capital, Alliance Risk combines the sophistication of a specialty brokerage with the speed and energy of a modern startup. With offices in New York City, Miami, and our brand-new Chicago location, we're building a team of elite producers and giving them everything they need to win. The Role We're hiring an Account Executive to drive new business and manage client relationships across D&O, E&O, and commercial liability lines. You'll own the full lifecycle — from sourcing and closing new opportunities to managing renewals — while working closely with underwriting and leadership to deliver thoughtful, competitive coverage strategies. This role is built for someone who can sell complex insurance products, communicate confidently with founders and senior operators, and wants real ownership inside a growing firm. If you're tired of bureaucratic brokerages where producers are just a number, this is different. At Alliance Risk you get: • A true seat at the table — not a résumé filler, • Direct access to leadership and top-tier underwriting talent, • Clear expectations, clear incentives, real upside, • A culture built on execution, accountability, and honesty, • A long-term business focused on durability — not hype What You'll Do • Drive new business: Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close consistently across D&O, E&O, and commercial liability, • Own the full sales cycle: From first meeting through binding and renewal — no handoffs, no excuses, • Build lasting relationships: Operate as a trusted advisor, not a transactional broker — clients should want to renew, • Manage your book: Balance production, retention, and underwriting discipline across your accounts, • Partner with underwriting: Collaborate on risk selection, pricing, and carrier strategy with in-house experts, • Maintain operational rigor: Keep accurate, up-to-date records in EPIC, • Deliver results: Maintain strong daily activity, weekly pipeline momentum, and monthly production, • Contribute to growth: Share market feedback to refine strategy, underwriting, and go-to-market execution Who You Are Required • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in insurance or complex B2B financial products, • Strong working knowledge of D&O, E&O, and commercial liability, • A track record of closing and retaining business in fast-moving environments, • Confidence working with sophisticated buyers and carrier partners, • Strong organization and attention to detail, • A high level of ownership and accountability, • A self-directed mindset — you don't need (or want) micromanagement Nice to Have • Experience with specialty lines placement (cyber, EPLI, builders risk, environmental), • Prior experience in an insurtech, MGA, or high-growth brokerage environment, • Working knowledge of Applied Epic or similar AMS platforms, • Existing carrier and wholesale relationships in the specialty space Work Environment • Hybrid role based in our new Chicago, IL office (in-office 3 days/week), • Fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment — decisions happen quickly, • Direct access to firm leadership and underwriting talent, • NYC and Miami offices available for collaboration Compensation • Competitive base salary, • Aggressive commission structure tied to new business, renewals, and retention, • Performance-based bonuses, • Clear path to increased earnings and responsibility as your book grows, • Individual compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, and production. We pay competitively and reward results — this role has meaningful upside for high performers. Why Alliance Risk? • Complex, high-value specialty insurance — not commodity renewals, • Full ownership of your book from day one, • Modern tools and streamlined operations (no legacy tech holding you back), • High-growth firm backed by experienced operators and venture capital, • A team that moves fast, values transparency, and rewards performance, • Career trajectory tied to your results, not tenure Equal Opportunity Employer Alliance Risk is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
