Job Description We’re looking forward to adding a warm, highly organized leader to serve as the “mayor” of our growing preschool community — a full-time, academic-year role that includes 5+ weeks of paid school breaks and holidays. Ivybrook Academy is a growing, Montessori-inspired preschool serving families in the Gahanna and New Albany communities. Our school blends Montessori and Reggio-inspired approaches to create an environment where children learn through curiosity, creativity, and exploration. We are seeking to add a Campus Director who will serve as a key leader within our school community. This is a highly relational, hands-on role focused on supporting teachers, building strong relationships with families, and ensuring the daily rhythm of the school runs smoothly. This position is not desk-based — it is a visible, in-the-classrooms leadership role. The Campus Director is present with teachers and students, greeting families, and helping cultivate the warm, connected community that defines Ivybrook. Key Responsibilities Teacher Leadership & Support Our teachers are the heart of our classrooms. A central responsibility of this role is ensuring teachers feel supported, heard, and equipped throughout the school day. The Campus Director serves as the primary daily leader and resource for teachers. Responsibilities include: • Serving as the first point of support for teachers throughout the day, • Helping teachers problem-solve classroom challenges, • Maintaining classroom ratios and coordinating coverage when needed, • Supporting teachers with planning time and classroom logistics, • Facilitating communication between teachers, administration, and families, • Fostering a positive, collaborative team culture Family Experience & Enrollment The Campus Director helps ensure every family feels welcomed, known, and connected to the school. Responsibilities include: • Leading tours for prospective families, • Following up with tour families and managing the enrollment pipeline, • Building strong relationships with current families, • Responding to parent questions and helping resolve concerns The Campus Director works closely with the Owner and teaching team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include: • Monitoring classroom ratios and daily schedules, • Assisting with licensing compliance and documentation, • Coordinating substitute coverage, • Managing operational logistics throughout the day This is where the “mayor of the school” mindset comes to life. You will: • Greet families during arrival and dismissal, • Know children and families by name, • Maintain a welcoming, organized school environment Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as: • Montessori or private school administration, • Preschool or early childhood leadership, • Admissions or school operations, • Community program leadership, • Warm, relational, and community-oriented, • Highly organized and proactive, • Strong communicator with both teachers and parents, • Calm, solution-oriented problem solver Salary Range: $40,000 – $55,000 annually This is a full-time leadership role that follows an academic-year schedule and includes approximately 5 weeks of paid school breaks, in addition to major holidays. Paid time off includes: • Fall Break, • Winter Break, • Spring Break, • Summer Break (1 week) The position will officially begin in August 2026, with a thoughtful onboarding and training period scheduled during the summer.
