Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker processes work orders for a plumbing distribution facility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role involves hour-to-hour order processing, light computer work, and the use of warehouse equipment and systems to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products. The position offers training for candidates who are motivated to learn and grow within the company. Responsibilities • Process work orders for a plumbing distribution warehouse accurately and efficiently throughout the day., • Perform hour-to-hour order processing and adapt quickly as order priorities change., • Pick orders accurately using an RF scanner and follow established procedures., • Operate stand-up or sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and freight as needed., • Use basic computer skills to work within shipping and inventory systems after receiving training., • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels., • Handle, organize, and stage materials in designated warehouse locations., • Work independently to complete assigned tasks while also contributing to a small warehouse team., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with warehouse standards., • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support daily operations.Essential Skills, • Ability to operate a stand-up or sit-down forklift, or willingness to be trained., • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision., • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where orders and priorities change by the hour., • Capability to pick orders accurately and efficiently., • Ability to utilize an RF scanner for order picking and inventory tasks., • Basic computer skills for light data entry and navigation of warehouse systems., • Willingness to learn and use shipping and inventory systems with provided training., • Reliability and strong attention to detail in handling materials and orders.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • No prior warehouse experience is preferred, as full training is available., • Interest in growing with the company and building a long-term career in warehouse operations., • Comfort operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and working around freight., • Ability to perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy., • Strong work ethic and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a plumbing distribution warehouse, working as part of a team of four other warehouse workers. The environment is fast-paced, with order priorities changing frequently throughout the day. You will use equipment such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts and RF scanners, and you will work with shipping and inventory systems after training. The setting is collaborative yet requires the ability to work independently, with a focus on safety, organization, and efficient material handling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
