Job DescriptionInternal Medicine - Physician Position Overview We are looking for a full-time faculty member in General Internal Medicine at our organization, focusing on delivering comprehensive outpatient care, engaging in medical education, and conducting clinical research. This role will involve instructing healthcare providers on the principles of internal medicine while managing patients with a variety of conditions, including HIV, addiction, and chronic illnesses. Applicants must possess either an M.D. or D.O. degree, be board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine, and actively contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic atmosphere. The Department of Medicine, specifically the Section of General Internal Medicine, is on the lookout for qualified candidates trained in Internal Medicine for a full-time faculty role. Why Join Us? • Deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care in outpatient primary care settings while educating future healthcare providers on the fundamentals of general internal medicine., • Collaborate with 17 full-time faculty members whose expertise spans medical education, obesity, hypertension, HIV and Hepatitis C, integrative medicine, social determinants of health, trauma-informed care, medication-assisted therapies, palliative care, and geriatrics., • Work in a supportive environment where faculty are engaged in innovative educational and research initiatives, including clinical skills training, physician-patient communication, ambulatory medical education, and clinical trials., • Key responsibilities include providing outpatient HIV primary care, managing ambulatory addiction medicine, conducting inpatient addiction medicine consultations, and mentoring internal medicine residents.
