Job Description We are looking for a motivated and technically savvy Inside Sales / Account Manager to support our outside sales team across two core product divisions: fire suppression pump systems and geothermal (ground source heat pump) circulation systems. This is a dual-market role that puts you at the intersection of life-safety infrastructure and sustainable energy — two of the fastest-growing segments in the pump industry. You'll manage a portfolio of accounts spanning fire protection contractors, mechanical engineers, HVAC distributors, drilling contractors, and geothermal system installers — serving as the go-to resource for product selection, quoting, and long-term relationship management. You'll work closely with our applications engineers, outside reps, and operations team to keep customers informed, satisfied, and coming back. Fire Suppression • UL/FM-listed fire pump packages, • Horizontal split-case & vertical turbine pumps, • Jockey / pressure maintenance pumps, • Diesel & electric driver packages, • Closed-loop & open-loop circulation pumps, • Vertical bore & horizontal loop systems, • Geothermal heat pump interface packages, • Variable-speed ECM pump systems Account Management & Customer Relations • Own a portfolio of fire protection contractors, mechanical/fire engineers, HVAC contractors, geothermal installers, and distributors as primary day-to-day contact, • Build deep relationships with estimators, project managers, specifying engineers, and purchasing teams across both markets, • Respond promptly to RFQs for fire pump packages (NFPA 20 compliant), GSHP circulation systems, and repair/replacement parts, • Prepare technically accurate, competitive quotations — including pump selection, driver sizing, controller specifications, and accessories, • Follow up on open quotes, navigate bid processes, and support order closure in coordination with the outside sales team, • Guide fire protection contractors through NFPA 20 compliant pump package selection — flow rates, pressure requirements, suction conditions, and driver options, • Assist geothermal installers and HVAC engineers with loop pump sizing, antifreeze selection, variable-speed configuration, and system integration, • Work with our applications engineering team on complex designs, submittal packages, and factory witness test requirements, • Process purchase orders accurately in ERP system and communicate lead times clearly — critical for fire protection project timelines, • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics on delivery schedules for time-sensitive fire protection installations, • Manage order exceptions, submittal approvals, and change orders; escalate issues quickly to protect jobsite schedules Required • 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or account management experience in an industrial, mechanical, or fire protection environment, • Strong track record of reliability, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction in a support or service role, • Working knowledge of pump fundamentals — flow, head, NPSHr, curve reading, or willingness to master these quickly, • Excellent communication skills; comfortable discussing technical specs with engineers and pricing with purchasing managers in the same call, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, • Direct experience with fire pump systems, fire suppression components, or working with fire protection contractors, • Familiarity with NFPA 20 (Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection), • Knowledge of geothermal / ground source heat pump systems, closed-loop design, or hydronic heating & cooling, • Experience with UL/FM-listed products and the listing/approval documentation process, • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience Compensation • Base salary $55,000 – $70,000 DOE, • Uncapped commission on new & existing business, • Quarterly performance bonuses, • Medical, dental & vision insurance Company DescriptionStaff DFW is seeking talented, reliable individuals.Staff DFW is seeking talented, reliable individuals.
