About the Role ECBM is looking for an Accounting Representative to join our team! This person will report to the Director of Finance in our Accounting Department. The Accounting Representative plays a key role in the financial operations of the insurance agency. This position is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, a good understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: • Billing, • Process client invoices in AMS360 in accordance with billing instructions., • Accounts Receivable, • Reconcile customer accounts regularly and ensure receivables remain under 30 days., • Hold monthly meetings with Producers to review outstanding collections., • Allocate and post daily payments, including checks and electronic payments., • Prepare and draft premium finance agreements., • Daily Deposits, • Perform mobile deposits of checks., • Reconcile daily deposits and ensure accurate posting in AMS360., • Insurance Company/Brokerage Accounts Payable, • Reconcile statements and invoices from carriers and brokerages., • Process payments via wire or ACH, ensuring deadlines are met., • Commission Receivables, • Reconcile and record incoming commission statements., • Verify accuracy and completeness of received commissions., • Finance Projects, • Assist the Director of Finance and/or SVP of Finance with special projects., • Internal and External Support, • Respond to requests from Producers, insured clients, and management promptly and professionally., • Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred., • College degree preferred., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)., • Comfortable using various office equipment and accounting software (experience with AMS360 a plus)., • Reliable, dependable, and highly organized., • Competitive Pay, • Health and Welfare Programs Including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Retirement and Income Protection Programs, including a 401k plan, • Work/Life Balance Including PTO, Holidays and Remote work opportunities, • Career Advancement Opportunities
