The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is searching an Program Assistant II to join our aquatics team. Program Assistant II’s perform a variety of tasks in the delivery of programming related to recreation and aquatic centers, community and special events, and fitness. The Program Assistant position is the entry level role in the Programmer professional series: Program Assistant, Program Coordinator, and Program Specialist. The Program Assistant II will receive general direction from the program specialist or a center supervisor and may provide oversight and lead direction for part time staff. They may exercise independent decision-making within established guidelines and receive occasional instruction or assistance as new situations arise. The schedule for this positions is typically 12:00 - 9:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility based on season. Corteva Agriscience is seeking an entry-level Seed Production Technician to join our Hermiston, Oregon team! This position provides support to the wheat and corn programs and will include in-field crop production and warehouse processing activities. What You'll Do: * Equipment operation including tractors, planters, cultivators, etc. * Provide support for planting, field maintenance, roguing, data collection, detasseling and harvesting operations. * Support seed processing and warehouse activities including receiving, husking, drying, conditioning, treat/packaging and shipping for corn and wheat. * Ability to run forklift or willingness to learn to use a forklift to support processing activities as needed throughout the year. * Ability to learn and utilize Research and Production software systems to support seed production activities. * Professional communication with supervisors, cooperators, contractors and support staff to ensure clear understanding of objectives and project success. * Supervise temporary or seasonal workers when needed to ensure work is performed in a safe and efficient manner. * Willingness to participate in site safety programs. * Work efficiently with a team or individually. * Have active Class A CDL or willingness/ability to obtain this license within one year of being employed at Corteva (Training expense would be covered by Corteva) What Skills You Need: * High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years on-the-job or related ag experience * Driver’s license with good driving record * Experience operating farm equipment * Good safety and risk management habits * Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including shift work and overtime hours including weekend work required during key production peaks * Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work well with co-workers, temp labor, contractors, etc. * Attention to detail * Able to make independent decisions * Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite * Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse) * Willing and able to lift up to 60lbs and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting. * Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in cold, hot, wet, and dry conditions.
