Responsibilities: • Teaches educational programs on Perinatal topics including childbirth, breastfeeding, sibling preparation and childhood development, • Utilizes program plans, handouts, appropriate adult learning and teaching techniques to facilitate classes., • Conducts classes which significantly impact and improve patient care on the unit., • Utilizes the CQI process to evaluate client satisfaction of classes, and identify further learning needs., • Updates educational programs with knowledge of current trends and developments in the field., • Delivers educational support to maternity staff., • Participates in community education programs., • Performs other duties as assignedQualifications Required: • RN in the state of Illinois, • Must demonstrate broad and thorough knowledge of the theories, principles and practices in a professional discipline, specialized or occupational field., • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
