Security Officer Our Security will protect company property as well as employees and visitors from possible criminal activity. This position is also responsible for providing security procedures to employees of DCM Inc. Your role in caring for our company: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure, and that systems are functioning properly, • Reports suspicious activity to General Manager and ensures appropriate staff is notified in a timely manner, • Ensures constant contact with General Manager and other security officers and responds to emergency calls immediately, • Escorting vendors entering the building, • Assists fire and police officials with safety drills and/or emergency situations, • Monitors CCTV systems for suspicious activity throughout the facility, • Provides detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management, • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in the event of an emergency, • After business hours, checks doors, windows, gates, IT room, boiler room, Fertigation areas, cultivation spaces, dry rooms and additional processing areas to ensure the property is secure and systems are functioning properly, • Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property, • Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives, • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises Qualifications we ask you to have: • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age., • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED., • We ask that you have at least three (3) years of previous security-related work experience., • We ask that you have a valid driver's license, • Extreme reliability, • Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends and applicable holidays., • Please have personal accountability, proactive behaviors, and strong attention to detail., • Ability and willingness to ensure all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively., • Excellent observational skills., • Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly., • Authoritative verbal communication skills., • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations., • Please have the ability and willingness to learn the layout of the property and buildings Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions., • This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks, • You will be asked to carry/lift loads of up to 75lbs., • This position will be working both indoors and outdoors year-round, often times for extensive periods of time., • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary., • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment., • Health Insurance: Medical, Dental & Vision, • Employee Assistance Plan, • Short-Term Disability, • Life Insurance AD&D, • 401K, • DCM Product/Merch Discounts, • Paid Time Off, • Competitive pay, • Industry Discounts DCM Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
