Gallagher Bassett Technical Services (GBTS) is a professional industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental, health & safety (EH&S) consulting division of Gallagher Bassett. GBTS is seeking a qualified IH / EHS professional to become a valued member of the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area team. The ideal candidate for this position must be a motivated individual with the ability to manage projects, conduct field assessments and generate quality deliverables with minor supervision. Position Details: • Pay: Starting at $75K, • Location: Hybrid in the Miami Lakes / Fort Lauderdale area, • Hours: M-F 8am - 5pm, • Hybrid work location (e., home and office), reporting to the Senior Industrial Hygiene Project Manager., • Travel throughout South Florida (generally day trips), with potential for minimal travel throughout other parts of Florida and the United States., • Conduct various IH / EHS assessments, including but not limited to indoor air quality assessments, moisture/mold damage assessments, worker exposure monitoring and pre-demolition/renovation hazardous building surveys (e.g., asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, etc.)., • Hands-on experience with various exposure monitoring and sampling devices (e.g., moisture meter, summa canisters, personnel pumps, direct-read PID, etc.), along with the technical expertise for interpreting data collected as part of the IH / EHS assessments., • Knowledgeable with applicable federal, state, and local regulations associated with IH / EHS assessments (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, FDEP, etc.)., • Ability to generate remediation, abatement and/or corrective action reports based upon findings of the IH / EHA assessments, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as current industry guidelines and best practices. About You Required: • Bachelor's degree required in a science related field., • Minimum 3-5 years of professional related experience in IH / EHS field., • Computer competency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., • Home access to high-speed internet for provided computer/monitors., • Ability to navigate client properties, which could entail climbing, walking, and lifting at least 25 lbs., • Ability to pass a medical clearance physical to wear a respirator., • Florida licensed Mold Assessor., • AHERA certified Asbestos Inspector., • EPA certified Lead Risk Assessor or Inspector., • AHERA certified Asbestos Supervisor, Management Planner or Project Designer., • Florida licensed Radon Measurement Technician or Specialist., • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)., • Experience with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments., • On path to meet qualifications as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)., • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual communication skills., • Ability to prepare training materials and conduct classroom or online training sessions., • Experience with environmental compliance regulations., • Strong organizational skills and ability to participate in multiple projects at the same time., • Computer competency in Microsoft Office products including Visio, SharePoint, Lists and Power BI. Behaviors: Demonstrates the ability to use a variety of field equipment. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, analytical thinking, and computer proficiency are a must. Understands and demonstrates project management skills. Able to effectively prioritize assignments. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
