Tyler offers a welcoming community, outdoor recreation, and an excellent quality of life—ideal for your next travel nursing job in East Texas.\n \n\nJob Details\n\n • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540\n, • Location: Tyler, TX 75701 – East Texas travel nursing job (Tyler, Smith County)\n, • Unit: 3 South – Neuro Medical Surgical (19 private rooms, telemetry & oximetry monitoring)\n, • Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:6\n, • Travel Assignment: Applicants must not reside in certain nearby counties (see requirements)\n\n\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro RN experience (neurology, neurosurgical, or neuro med-surg nursing)\n, • Travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse Neuro RN)\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license\n, • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification\n, • BLS certification (AHA)\n, • Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting)\n, • Telemetry/telemetry interpretation experience preferred\n, • Applicants must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide comprehensive neuro nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical, surgical, neurology, and neurosurgical diagnoses\n, • Monitor patients using telemetry and oximetry equipment; interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry (on-unit and remote)\n, • Perform feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis care, and port access/management\n, • Monitor and manage chemotherapy administration when applicable, non-invasive airway support, tracheostomy care, and MS/telemetry patients\n, • Respond to rapid response and code teams as needed\n, • Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines and IV therapy\n, • Follow heparin protocols, manage PCA, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy, and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE\n, • Provide wound care and wound vac management\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #470161.
