Key Responsibilities • Patient Care & Clinical Excellence, • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care that improves mobility, reduces pain, and enhances quality of life., • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans, incorporating appropriate modalities (e.g., underwater treadmill, laser therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise)., • Collaborate with the Managing DVM and Practice Manager on medical policies, standard operating procedures, and protocols; uphold and model compliance with them., • Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and timely to support continuity of care., • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapies, pharmaceuticals, and emerging best practices., • Model safe patient handling and reinforce safety protocols., • Support and contribute to improvements in patient care and clinical efficiency., • Client Relationship Management, • Build trusted client relationships through clear, empathetic communication., • Present diagnostic findings and treatment options in a way that supports client decision-making., • Educate clients on prevention, recovery, and long-term mobility management., • Address concerns professionally, escalating to Managing DVM or Practice Manager as needed., • Team Contribution & Leadership, • Provide clinical guidance to support staff during patient care., • Deliver in-house medical training and share knowledge to support staff growth., • Model professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude on the floor., • Offer constructive feedback to leadership that supports staff development and performance management., • Actively participate in staff meetings and practice initiatives., • Practice Growth & Business Outcomes, • Ensure accuracy of patient/client invoicing., • Contribute to practice productivity goals through efficient, high-quality patient care., • Participate in referral and community outreach activities that grow awareness of veterinary rehabilitation., • Engage in professional organizations to enhance personal and practice reputation., • Operational Excellence, • Adhere to inventory, equipment, and facility processes to support smooth practice operations., • Identify and support execution of operational improvements that enhance patient care and team efficiency., • Report risks and issues promptly to leadership for resolution., • Professional Development, • Take ownership of ongoing clinical and professional growth through CE and certifications., • Stay engaged in emerging developments within rehabilitation and sports medicine to elevate the practices standard of care. Skills and Qualifications • Required Skills:, • DVM license in the current state, • One of the following certifications: CCRP, CCRT, CCRV, DACVSMR, VMRT, CRPM required (or in progress), • Additional certifications: CVSMT, CVA/CVAT, CVPP preferred or an interest in pursuing certification, • Proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite, • A minimum of two years' experience in rehabilitation or sports medicine, preferred, • Expertise in veterinary diagnostics and rehabilitative therapies, • Preferred Soft Skills:, • Exceptional communication and client relationship management abilities., • Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team collaboration., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Adaptability to changing clinical needs and evolving practices.
