The Position Traveling Quality Control Manager Rotational Travel | Federal Construction Projects Location: Nationwide Federal Construction Projects Schedule: Full-Time | Rotational Travel Required This position does not require relocation; however, rotational travel is required for project assignments, typically for a minimum of three weeks at a time with one weekend home common during rotations. We are seeking an experienced Quality Control professional with strong federal construction experience to support technically challenging civil and structural projects throughout the U.S. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring project compliance, documentation accuracy, and overall quality performance on active jobsites. What You’ll Do • Manage all project quality control requirements on active federal construction projects, • Lead daily QC reporting, inspections, and project documentation processes, • Coordinate and oversee submittal management activities, • Facilitate quality control meetings and preparatory phase meetings, • Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements, • Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives, • Track non-conformance reports and oversee corrective action implementation, • Review project specifications, quality control plans, safety plans, and work procedures, • Maintain organized project records, reports, logs, and compliance documentation, • Assist with project startup activities, testing coordination, scheduling support, and closeout procedures, • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout all phases of project execution Qualifications • Minimum 4+ years of experience serving as a Quality Control Manager on construction projects, • 10+ years of combined experience in construction leadership roles including Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager, • Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certification required, • Experience working on federal construction projects required, • Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, • Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred, • Strong background in submittal management and federal construction documentation, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, • ACI Certifications preferred Physical Requirements • Ability to walk active construction jobsites in varying weather conditions, • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and inspect all areas of active jobsites, • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed What’s Offered • Competitive compensation package DOE, • Performance-based bonus opportunities, • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, • 401(k) with company match, • Life insurance and employee wellness programs, • Generous PTO, vacation, sick time, and paid holidays, • Travel support and rotational scheduling structure, • Long-term advancement opportunities within a growing federal construction platform, • Exposure to large-scale, technically challenging, and mission-critical projects nationwide Apply Today: Apply directly to this job posting with your updated resume for immediate and confidential consideration.
