About the Role The Assessment Lead position supports OpenEds assessment team during the academic year (August through May). This full-time, working up to 40 hours per week but never to exceed 40, fully remote role will oversee standardized testing operations in Nevada and up to three additional states, as assigned. The Assessment Lead provides leadership over proctor scheduling, score entry, and communication workflows. Team Leads ensure proctors are well-trained, testing is accurately scheduled, and that proctors are supported in administering assessments to students participating in the OpenEd program. While many tests can be administered virtually, this role may require travel to on-site testing centers (e.g., hotels, libraries) in Nevada during peak testing times. Must live in Nevada. Your Immediate Impact • You will train and support proctors, ensuring theyre prepared and certified in the assessments they will be administering before testing begins, • You will build and manage testing schedules, ensuring all sessions are staffed and organized, • You will identify and coordinate testing sites throughout Nevada for any assessments that require in-person testing, • You will approve proctor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment, • You will manage and maintain score entry workflows and prepare test preparation resources for families, • Youll act as a key liaison between assessment operations and state-specific family support teams Job Requirements: • Current Nevada teaching certificate, • Experience managing or coordinating teams in a remote environment, • Experience administering, coordinating or scheduling standardized tests within K-12 schools a plus, • Strong organizational and scheduling skills, • Familiarity with Slack, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and collaborative platforms, • Clear written communication and confidence in managing professional relationships, • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and shift timelines during testing seasons, • Available during core business hours for coordination and troubleshooting (especially during testing weeks), • Eligible to work in the U.S. (but can live/work from any pre-approved location) Success Metrics: • All proctors trained and certified before each testing window, • 100% of scheduled testing sessions staffed and ready to go, • Proctor invoices approved within 1 business days of submission, • Score data entry completed within 48 hours of test completion, • Test prep materials shared with Family Success no later than 4-6 weeks before each testing window, • Strong internal collaboration with timely Slack responses and clear documentation Who You Are: • Youre organized, reliable, and motivated to lead a small team of proctors, • You enjoy managing logistics and creating systems that work smoothly, • Youre tech-savvy and comfortable navigating schedules, invoices, and score reports, • Youre a collaborative communicator who thrives in a virtual team, • You care about ensuring students and families have a seamless testing experience This Role Will Excite You IF: • You love bringing order to a fast-moving, detail-heavy process, • You enjoy leading and coaching others while also managing the work directly, • You like solving scheduling puzzles and optimizing operations, • Youre energized by helping a team succeed behind the scenes, • You want flexible, seasonal work that still offers leadership and visibility Team & Autonomy: • You will report directly to the Manager, Office of Assessments and work in partnership with proctors, assessment specialists, and state-specific support teams., • While this role follows a seasonal schedule (AugustMay), youll take full ownership of your assigned states and be trusted to make operational decisions in real time., • Youll be supported through check-ins and Slack communication, with autonomy over day-to-day management of proctoring and logistics.
