American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Work in a large hospital OR with 16 suites, routinely running 12-14 rooms, • Patient population is primarily cardiac with cases in neuro, ortho trauma, robotics, general, gyn, uro, pediatrics, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular, • Average caseload is 35-50 cases per day with a 1:1 patient ratio, • Specialized equipment includes 3 Da Vinci robots, Stealth neuro navigation, and Synthes/Stryker for ortho trauma, • Float required across multiple campuses, • Work both scrub and circulating roles as preferred, • Call required for weekends from end of shift Friday through Monday morning, • Epic EMR is used and recent experience is necessary, • Hospital is a Level I trauma center, • Primary responsibilities include assisting in high-volume, diverse OR procedures and supporting rapid turnovers, • Scrubs are provided for all shifts, • Team members must be adaptable to a fast-paced, trauma-oriented environment, • Holiday coverage for 2 of 3 major winter holidays may be required, • A limit of 1 day off may be requested during peak holiday periods, • Applicants should expect to float between campuses as needed, • Returning employees may not be eligible if previously employed within the past 12 months\n \n Requirements\n, • Active IA or compact RN license required prior to start, • BLS (AHA) certification required, • Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience, • Proficient in general, robotic, pediatric, and trauma cases, • Experience in at least some of these additional service lines: neuro, ortho trauma, gyn, uro, transplants, plastics, ENT, vascular, • Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 3 years, • Level I trauma experience required, • Must have recent scrub and circulating experience, • One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
