We are looking to hire for the 2026-2027 school year which begins in August. Our purpose is to find the right fit for our school and our team. Some education in ECE is preferred. High school diploma required. What You'll Do • Plan lessons that teach early literacy, numeracy, colors, shapes, and social skills, • Create a safe classroom environment that is clean, organized, and child‑friendly, • Teach basic concepts such as letters, numbers, hygiene, and early social behaviors, • Manage classroom behavior using routines, rules, and positive reinforcement, • Supervise activities including playtime, meals, bathroom breaks, and nap time, • Support social–emotional development by encouraging sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution, • Communicate with families about progress, concerns, and daily updates, • Track child development through observation, assessment, and documentation, • Organize classroom materials and prepare supplies for daily activities, • Collaborate with staff such as aides, specialists, and administrators, • Prepare children for kindergarten by building early academic and social readiness skills Requirements • Minimum Education — Must have a high school diploma., • Schedule Requirements — Must be able to work 5-days a week from 8:45am-3:45pm (minumim) to 8:45pm-5:30pm (Maxmum)., • Initial childcare training — Required training often includes CPR/First Aid, child development, child abuse reporting, SIDS, shaken baby syndrome, emergency preparedness, and safety procedures., • Background checks — State of Nevada requires fingerprinting and criminal background checks for anyone working with children., • Professional competencies — Educators must demonstrate knowledge of child development, learning environments, family engagement, and professionalism, as outlined by NAEYC standards., • Soft skills & interpersonal abilities — Strong communication, creativity, patience, and classroom‑management skills are essential for working with young children., • Ongoing training —The State of Nevada requires annual continuing education hours to maintain employment or licensure in childcare settings.
