The Senior Marketing Manager, Hotels, plays a strategic portfolio-level role in supporting New Waterloo’s collection of hotels. This position provides high-level marketing guidance, structure, and standards to property-level Marketing Managers and Coordinators, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with commercial strategy, revenue objectives, and brand positioning. This individual operates as a strategic partner and resource, elevating planning, strengthening accountability, standardizing processes, and driving performance across the portfolio. The role requires a commercially minded, data-informed marketer who can think holistically across multiple properties and brands, can identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, and support on-property teams in executing high-impact marketing initiatives. What you'll do: Portfolio Strategy & Commercial Alignment • Partner with the Director of Marketing to shape and refine portfolio-wide marketing strategy aligned with revenue and brand objectives, • Provide strategic oversight, guidance, and hands-on support to property-level Marketing Managers and Coordinators through structured training, SOP development, best-practice sharing, and ongoing collaboration to ensure consistency, clarity, and revenue alignment across the portfolio, • Guide property teams in the development of annual marketing plans, ensuring clear priorities and measurable goals, • Evaluate property-level marketing performance and provide strategic recommendations to improve effectiveness and ROI, • Identify portfolio-wide opportunities for shared initiatives, campaign efficiencies, and scalable marketing systems, • Ensure marketing efforts across properties support overall commercial strategy, including rooms, F&B, group, and event revenue, • Develop and standardize marketing frameworks, planning tools, and SOPs to drive consistency and clarity across properties, • Support General Managers and property leadership teams by aligning marketing efforts with operational realities and revenue needs, • Provide annual budget support and guidance, working with General Managers to maintain budgets depending on revenues, • Offer training and development resources to elevate marketing capabilities at the property level, • Assist in management of digital agency in partnership with Corporate Director of Marketing; provide strategic direction to digital and paid media strategies on behalf of the hotels, • Establish standards and expectations for website optimization, email marketing cadence, and social strategy, • Review and evaluate digital performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, • Ensure online listings, guest-facing messaging, and digital touchpoints reflect brand standards and current property priorities, • Review email campaigns and provide best practices to ensure all emails are grammatically accurate, on-brand, and optimized for maximum revenue-generation, • Guide properties in the strategic development of promotions, packages, and activations aligned with revenue objectives and seasonal demand, • Ensure promotional strategies remain competitive, differentiated, and consistent with brand positioning, • Support the development of community partnerships and programming that strengthen local presence and brand relevance, • Standardize reporting expectations and KPIs across properties, • Translate marketing performance data into clear, actionable insights for property teams and executive leadership, • Monitor progress against marketing plans and recommend adjustments as needed, • Promote a culture of accountability, measurement, and continuous improvement across the portfolio, • Ensure alignment between brand standards and property-level execution, • Assist in the coordination of on-site photoshoots, providing support and guidance on budgets, execution, and results Who you are: • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • You have 4+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or lifestyle brands., • You have exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills; able to craft compelling, on-brand content across digital, print, and experiential channels., • You are a highly motivated self-starter with a strategic mindset and the ability to execute with precision., • You are extremely organized and detail-oriented; adept at managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • You are flexible and resilient, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events or activations., • You have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) with the ability to produce high-quality flyers, brochures, menus, and other marketing collateral., • You have strong analytical skills and experience interpreting marketing performance data to optimize campaigns., • You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, with proven success working across teams and with external partners., • You are a student, a teacher, and a leader. You are unafraid to ask questions, share knowledge, and lead with integrity., • You are a proponent of collaboration and cross-departmental team involvement.
