As a member of the IT Team, the D365 SCM Technical Specialist - Procurement & Demand Planning is a key contributor to the ERP transformation initiative, and will partner with Johnstone Supply’s Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders to design and implement optimized purchasing and demand planning processes using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM). This position has a hybrid schedule, requiring at least 2-days in the office, and must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas metro area. Position responsibilities: • Responsible for translating complex procurement and demand planning requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant system configurations across core Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management modules, including Procurement and Sourcing, Product Information Management, Vendor Collaboration, Demand Forecasting, Master Planning, and Inventory Management., • Works closely with the ERP implementation team to ensure seamless integration of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Demand Planning processes, and alignment with related end-to-end supply chain functions such as Order-to-Cash (O2C), Master Planning, and Inventory Management., • Facilitates and drives collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements to design and implement configurations, customizations, extensions, and integrations within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform., • Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions. Engage with a range of users to understand their needs, recommend best practices, perform fit/gap analysis, design solutions, oversee end-user training on the functionality, and deploy solutions in the ERP., • Provide higher level support and troubleshooting for Dynamics 365 F&O modules, resolving issues related to functionality, performance, and integration, that may need specialization to resolve. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues., • Collaborate with system implementor, developers, and architects to design robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions based on D365 best practices., • Configure and customize D365 modules to meet business-specific requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards., • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; 10 or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience., • Experience with multi-site warehouse operations, multi-entity supply chain models, and distribution networks—supporting accurate integration with procurement, transportation, and order fulfillment processes., • Preferred certifications include:, • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330), • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Warehouse Management Functional Consultant Expert, • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate or relevant Power Platform certifications., • At least 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or demand planning roles, with at least 3+ yearsof hands-on experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management or a comparable ERP platform. Demonstrated expertise includes:, • Procurement and Sourcing: Managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, procurement categories, vendor hierarchies, and approval workflows., • Vendor Collaboration: Onboarding, self-service portal setup, and integration with supplier communications and performance tracking., • Trade Agreements: Setup and maintenance of vendor pricing, volume discounts, and purchasing contracts., • Demand Forecasting: Configuration and support of statistical forecasting models, demand planning parameters, and forecast inputs., • Master Planning (MRP): Setup and tuning planning parameters to support replenishment, lead time analysis, and inventory availability., • Procurement & Demand Analytics: Development of spend, vendor performance, and forecast accuracy reports using D365 and Power BI., • Ensuring data accuracy and compliance through internal controls, approval workflows, and audit trail configurations ., • Proven ability to support digital transformation initiatives and financial system implementations with a focus on quality, compliance, and operational efficiency., • Strong knowledge of Power Platform, Power BI, and other Microsoft technologies., • Experience with data migration tools and techniques., • Knowledge of procurement controls, supply chain compliance frameworks, and applicable regulatory standards (e.g., SOX for supply chain operations and vendor management)., • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to structure and manage complex sourcing, planning, and replenishment processes, and to prioritize across multiple supply chain initiatives., • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, resolve cross-functional conflicts, and maintain operational continuity during system or process transitions., • Proven ability to take initiative and drive results, especially in identifying and implementing supply planning and procurement improvements aligned with business objectives., • Capable of performing under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments, especially during planning cycles, supplier negotiations, and ERP cutovers., • Ability to collaborate across procurement, planning, finance, operations, and IT teams, as well as with external vendors and partners, to ensure process alignment and data integrity., • Skilled in communicating complex supply chain requirements and system changes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting insights and recommendations to leadership., • Safety: Always prioritizes safety, both at work and at home, while ensuring those who work for you work safely., • Customer Focused: Take the perspective of those we serve, anticipate their needs, and responding quickly., • One Team: We win together by collaborating with each other, focusing on the common goal, and leveraging the strengths of the team., • Own It: Take the initiative, act with a sense of urgency and pride, do things right the first time, and always act with integrity.
