This includes generating production job jackets, identifying and gathering ingredients and materials, and organizing them according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized self-starter with extensive materials handling experience who can work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities * Stage Materials for Next-Day Production: Review production schedules and gather all required packaging, ingredients, and raw materials for the next day’s manufacturing runs. Ensure each ingredient and material is accounted for and ready. * Generate Production Job Jackets: Create and organize production job jackets/packets for upcoming jobs, including necessary paperwork, labels, and instructions for the production team. * GMP-Compliant Staging: Stage materials in designated areas (including cold storage at 34–38°ree;F) in accordance with GMP and food safety protocols. Make sure all items are properly labeled, sealed, and handled to meet quality standards. * Inventory Coordination: Work closely with inventory and warehouse systems (ERP) to verify stock levels and accuracy when pulling ingredients. Report any shortages or discrepancies to the supply chain team to prevent production delays. * Maintain Organized Work Areas: Keep the staging areas, warehouse, and cold rooms clean, organized, and safe. Adhere to sanitation guidelines and maintain documentation of materials staged, following all company policies and food safety regulations. Qualifications & Requirements * Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a materials handling, warehouse, or staging role within a food manufacturing environment (required). * ERP Proficiency: Experience using ERP systems for inventory and production scheduling (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to locate materials and update stock levels. * Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator’s license with experience safely operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting (required). * GMP & Food Safety Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety requirements in a production facility. Able to strictly follow protocols and maintain compliance. * Organization & Detail Orientation: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to cleanliness and order. Able to keep meticulous track of many ingredients and packaging materials without errors. * Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Proven trustworthy in an evening/night shift role, reliably completing tasks on time. * Physical & Environmental: Ability to work in a cold-room environment (34–38°ree;F) for extended periods during the shift.
