We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at our distribution facility in Winchester, Virginia. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This role oversees labor, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company standards. The manager partners cross-functionally to support customer service levels, cost control, and operational scalability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Leadership • Direct and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting, • Ensure fulfillment accuracy, order timeliness, and productivity targets are consistently met or exceeded, • Establish and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and reduce errors, • Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions, • Ensure proper handling and storage of all products, including fragile, high-value, or regulated items, • Monitor shrink, damages, and discrepancies and implement prevention strategies, • Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates, • Set clear performance expectations supported by measurable KPIs, • Conduct performance reviews and support succession planning, • Enforce all OSHA, company safety programs, and regulatory requirements, • Identify process improvement opportunities using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, • Reduce labor and materials costs while maintaining service levels, • Support warehouse layout optimization, slotting, and automation initiatives, • Ensure effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related tools, • Partner with IT and Operations leadership on system upgrades, integrations, and automation projects, • Analyze operational reports and trends to improve performanceQualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience), • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution center operations experience, • 2+ years of people management or supervisory experience, • Strong working knowledge of WMS, inventory control, and fulfillment processes, • Proven experience managing KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives, • Experience in high-volume, multi-SKU distribution environments, • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certification, • Experience with warehouse automation and material handling equipment, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Information Zwiesel Fortessa Americas LLC offers excellent competitive compensation and a robust benefits package that includes: • Medical, dental, and vision, • 401(k) plan with a company match, • Short-term and long-term disability – 100% paid by the company, • Vacation/Paid Time Off, starting with 4 weeks per year, • Paid company holidays, • Annual wellness stipend We look forward to hearing from you!
