Job Description JOB TITLE: QA/QC- Process Piping - CWI SUMMARY: Quality Control inspection and associated documentation of Process Piping systems within a cleanroom environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate compliance of OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory Responsible for inspecting all fabricated and installed piping, mechanical equipment, skids, modular systems, and components per project specifications., • Review and approval of Quality Plans, ITPs, PQR, WPS, WPQ, inspection procedures, records for installed pipe which would include weld map log, PMI, slope checks, and traceability logs, and other associated records of installed pipe. Inspections of mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for alignment and proper functioning, prepare reports and notify appropriate people of equipment problems and deficiencies, ensure compliance with codes and standard., • Responsible for ensuring that all the valves, tubing, fittings, instruments, and any components will be submitted and approved in accordance with the project drawings and specifications., • Retain records for NDE personnel qualifications / certifications to be submitted for approval and shall be available for review as necessary., • Responsible for verifying that all inspectors under the subcontractors for this project are qualified to perform the inspections they are tasked with in accordance with the project specifications., • Responsible for the initiation of any Surveillance Reports and Non-Conformance Reports and updating the Surveillance Reports and NCR log as a result of any adverse findings during any inspections or witnessed inspections., • Participation in turnover package documentation., • Perform periodic quality checks for all welding performed to ensure that the welding procedures submitted to the contractor are being followed., • Verify that all welders are certified to perform the work they are assigned in accordance with the project specifications and the welder qualification list., • Monitor the Subcontractors Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR) for welders reject rate and notify the Contractor of any trends or risks to the project. Job Description BME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled welders/fabricators with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. As a Welder, you will be responsible for: · Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck · Welding aluminum materials into structural shapes · Reading blueprints · Welding a visually aesthetic product · Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build Requirements: WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: · Mig welding experience on aluminum · Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts. · Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work. Job Description Senior Special Inspector About Us STRATA provides professional geotechnical engineering consulting, construction inspection, and materials testing services across the region. Our team of professionals works closely with contractors, architects, and engineers to support quality and compliance across a wide range of projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in Boise, Idaho. About the Role The CWI works closely with contractors, fabricators, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and approved construction documents. This role performs field inspections, welding observations, and nondestructive examinations to ensure the quality and integrity of structural steel construction projects. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely inspection services. Key Responsibilities • Perform visual welding inspections of structural steel fabrication and erection activities., • Verify compliance with AWS, AISC, ASTM, ICC, IBC, and project-specific requirements., • Review welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records., • Observe welding operations and ensure approved procedures and materials are being utilized., • Inspect bolted and welded structural steel connections., • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed field reports., • Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, engineers, and project representatives to communicate findings and resolve deficiencies., • Utilize, maintain, and calibrate inspection and testing equipment., • Perform Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR)., • Support Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and company safety initiatives., • Assist with training and professional development of inspection personnel. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED., • Current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification., • Working knowledge of AWS welding codes and standards, including AWS D1.1., • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, welding symbols, and fabrication documents., • Experience performing welding inspections, structural steel inspections, fabrication shop inspections, or related QA/QC activities., • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Ability to travel, work overtime, and occasionally work weekends or holidays as project needs require. Preferred Qualifications • ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector certification., • ICC Structural Bolting Special Inspector certification., • ASNT certifications in: Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), • Other applicable nondestructive testing (NDT) methods., • NACE, AMPP, or other coating inspection certifications., • Additional construction materials testing and special inspection certifications are a plus.
