Job DescriptionJob Title: Inventory Controller Job Description We are seeking a diligent and organized Inventory Controller to join our team at the Knoxville, TN Lab. This position requires full-time, onsite work during 1st shift hours, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime hours, including every other Saturday. Responsibilities • Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment., • Utilize computer systems or programs, internet searches, applications, and telephone communications to complete tasks, ensuring appropriate follow-up., • Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services, documenting receipts on appropriate logs, and reconciling products against packing lists., • Troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays., • Organize materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas, inspecting stocks and distributing inventory materials., • Ensure security and accountability of materials and goods inventory controls., • Prepare and organize materials for shipment to other locations, maintaining shipping records., • Comply with all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and rules, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas., • Handle bio-hazardous waste safely., • Maintain the facility, including the laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, as per company standards and SOPs, utilizing facility-related computer systems for maintenance or security., • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and procedures, promoting and supporting EHS/safety actions., • Maintain a professional image and confidentiality of all company records and information., • Perform lifting of up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks., • Complete other job-related duties as assigned.Essential Skills, • High School diploma or equivalent., • Basic computer skills., • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs., • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions., • Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications., • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Familiarity with SAP is preferred., • Experience in material handling and/or maintenance., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.Work Environment The position is based in a fast-paced Knoxville, TN lab environment, requiring 100% onsite presence. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime, including every other Saturday. The role involves frequent walking, standing, and bending, with occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens. The use of personal protective equipment is frequently required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
