Morson Edge are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Design Manager to join their Design & Advanced Technology team, delivering high-profile water infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping major infrastructure programmes, leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering innovative solutions across the full project lifecycle. The Role: You will be responsible for leading and coordinating design delivery across complex water sector projects, ensuring high-quality technical outputs while managing programme, cost, and stakeholder expectations. Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will support both project delivery and bid activity, contributing to major UK infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams across design delivery, • Oversee and review technical deliverables including reports, drawings, and calculations, • Ensure outputs align with project scope, programme, budget, and quality standards, • Drive technical input across complex design packages and project stages, • Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, • Support bid proposals and contribute to winning new work, • Mentor and support junior engineers within the team, • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and CDM regulations About You: • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), • Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) preferred, • Strong experience managing design delivery within a consultancy environment, • Proven background in the water sector (essential), • Good understanding of design standards, NEC contracts, and regulatory requirements, • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects, • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work with minimal supervision What's on Offer: • £50 – £67 per hour (Inside IR35), • 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension, • Hybrid working (typically 3 days office/site), • Locations: Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge (flexible), • Opportunity to work on major UK and international infrastructure projects, • Long-term project pipeline within a leading consultancy Apply Now If you're an experienced Design Manager looking to make a real impact on high-profile infrastructure projects, apply today through this advert.
