Job Type: Permanent Function: Operations Salary Range: Competitive salary package + excellent benefits + market‑leading bonus Location: Southampton, United Kingdom Key objectives and expectations: • This role is part of the Global Customer Fulfilment Extended Leadership Team acting as Warehouse Product Owner in the Customer Fulfilment Centre of Excellence (CF COE)., • Lead the Connecting Warehouse Initiative globally, promote Lighthouse, accelerate the re‑application of CBAs, provide process capabilities, share benchmarks/toolkits and support DRBUs to foster re‑application for world‑class service, optimise cost, cash and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines., • Develop topics such as Multi‑market Analytics for Warehouse, including operational and commercial aspects to support negotiations, a Resilience Metric, map Emerging Technologies, promote innovation through Besupplier, drive Compliance and the Warehouse Academy. Strategic and operational scope: Primary Warehouse spend in BAT is about £200 mn. This role will demonstrate our process, capabilities and operational standards to "drive high performance and resilience through talent and digital technologies". Budget management ~£90 mn. Total spend influence ~£205 mn. Global Head of Transport and Warehousing, CF COE 1 Internal: SNO functions / COEs, Regional Operations Directors (ROMs), Ops Directors, Local and DRBU Supply Chain Managers, Finance, DBS, Procurement. External: External service providers, technology suppliers, research parties & specialist consultants (e.g., Gartner), peer companies. Global Yes • Govern the group's primary supply warehouse spend and savings delivery, including annual target setting to optimise costs., • Accountable for the Global Warehouse Product strategic deployment over the next 1‑3 years, covering processes, capability, global technology enablement selection., • Lead the indirect community within the geography and maintain a strong partner network with local and DRBU Supply Chain managers., • Develop and maintain warehousing capabilities, toolkits, DMS and digital platforms to ensure relevance and drive improvement plans for a "Fit for Growth" supply chain build., • Own and deliver change projects improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of BAT logistics operations., • Maintain excellent links with other functions to align and integrate business & improvement requirements, working with ROMs, Ops Directors, Local Supply Chain Managers, and SNO Planning hubs., • Ensure that customer fulfilment operations linked to warehousing are accurately coordinated into the end‑to‑end supply chain towards the BAT Ultimate Control Tower direction, driving dynamic fulfilment nodes., • Support ESG solutions together with the SC Dev teams and Sustainability Product within fulfilment to reduce CO₂ emissions, increase waste recycling and support the circular economy., • Demonstrate our Warehouse Platform globally, with Multi‑market Analytics, Intelligence, Resilience, Compliance, Learning and Emerging Technologies in Warehouse., • In‑depth knowledge of warehouse rigor with experience in a local supply chain execution role., • Knowledge of core supply chain processes from planning (demand & supply), logistics, manufacturing & NPI., • Strong proven experience within logistics., • Knowledge and exposure to IWS., • Previous experience of IWS., • Experience and awareness of TPD & Track & Trace solutions., • Contract leadership skills with experience in this environment an advantage., • Knowledge of the TaO template an advantage., • Strong project management experience, track record of successful organisational change delivery., • Groundbreaking attitude to innovate and promote exponential improvements., • Ability to challenge the status quo., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Strong analytical and digital skills., • Strong influencing skills to handle multiple partners and get work done through and with people., • Robust understanding of the digital tools that support the CF COE., • Team development skills through a matrix structure., • Politically and culturally sensitive., • Excellent analytical skills, rigor and attention to detail., • Strong demonstrable leadership capabilities., • Anticipation to shape the future rather than react to it., • Resilience., • Ability to take smart decisions in the face of ambiguity., • Curiosity to seek new insights and knowledge., • Challenging complexity and seeking simpler, faster ways of working., • Driving empowerment at all levels., • Developing teams and individuals., • Setting high standards and delivering outstanding results., • University degree or equivalent experience (supply‑chain related major an advantage).
