We're now looking to recruit a Civil/Structural Engineer with solid Temporary Works experience to join our expanding Leeds-based team. 💼 The Role As a Temporary Works Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, buildable, and cost-effective design solutions from brief through to construction. You’ll work independently on smaller commissions and as part of a collaborative team on larger and more complex challenges, including demolition engineering, façade retention, propping/needling, heavy lifting frames, and falsework/formwork design. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities • Deliver Temporary Works designs in accordance with BS 5975 and Eurocodes, • Carry out calculations, sketches, design statements, and technical notes with clear audit trails, • Liaise and collaborate with clients, TWC/TWDs, site teams, and other stakeholders, • Prepare design risk assessments and consider buildability, safety, and commercial drivers at every stage, • Work alongside technicians to prepare high-quality drawings and 3D models, • Attend site visits and meetings to ensure safe and practical solutions, • Contribute to a positive, proactive, and quality-driven culture within the business 🧠 What We’re Looking For Essential: • 2+ years’ post-grad experience in Temporary Works design, • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes (EN 1990, 1991, 1993, etc.) and BS 5975 procedural controls, • Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., Tedds, Staad, Robot) and hand calc methods, • Ability to think practically and work closely with contractors and site teams, • Experience in demolition or complex, high-risk Temporary Works environments, • Working toward IEng/CEng (ICE or IStructE), • Proficiency with proprietary systems (RMD, Mabey, Ischebeck, etc.), • Awareness of CAD/3D modelling (AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit) 💷 Salary & Benefits • Industry-competitive salary based on experience, e.g.:, • Student Engineer: ~£24,000, • Graduate Engineer: ~£30,000, • 2–6 Years' Experience: ~ £45,000, • CEng Senior Engineer: ~ £55,000, • CEng Principal Engineer: ~ £65,000, • Annual profit-related bonus: 5–10% of salary, discretionary based on performance and alignment with company values, • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays (with 2–3 days held for Christmas shutdown), • Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee contribution, • Support with chartership (ICE/IStructE) and ongoing CPD, • Flexible working and a collaborative, low-ego culture 📩 Ready to Apply?
