NMC and HCPC professionals eligible to apply.\n\nWhat is on offer as a Functional Assessor?\n- Excellent starting salary at £39,500pa\n- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours\n- Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)\n- Edinburgh based when working on-site\n- 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + the ability to buy or sell 5 more days + pension\n- Hybrid/home working available\n- NMC or HCPC fees paid for and CPD revalidation support provided\n\nWhat does the Functional Assessor role involve?\nThe Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't.
