Position Overview As a Commercial Manager at EOS IT Solutions, you will lead the commercial strategy and execution for major programmes, ensuring robust costing, effective resource planning, and strong contractual and cost compliance. This is an operationally focused commercial role - not a sales function - and is critical aligned to the successful delivery of our Data Centre Operations. You will partner with globally based operational leaders, contribute to commercial governance, and ensure financial integrity across all assigned initiatives. What You’ll Do • Develop and implement commercial strategies that support project and organisational objectives for both EOS & our customers., • Manage costing, pricing models, budget planning, revenue, P&L and resource allocation across multiple programmes., • Oversee and input on bid processes, evaluate proposals, and support vendor selection., • Draft, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs) and other commercial or legal documentation., • Continuously monitor financial performance, report variances, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks., • Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes, governance frameworks, and industry standards., • Engage with cross-functional teams to align commercial, operational, and financial priorities., • Provide strategic commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders., • Provide weekly, Monthly & Quarterly reporting to Senior Leadership on top-down commercial performance on each program. What You Need to Succeed Education & Experience • Degree in Business, Commercial Management, or a related field., • Proven experience in commercial management, ideally within Data Centre or large-scale technical projects. Preference but not essential would be to have, • Commercial experience in global markets (NORAM, EMEA & APAC), • Strong understanding of costing methodologies, bid processes and contract negotiation. Technical Skills • Proficiency in commercial analysis, financial modelling, and resource planning., • Skilled in drafting complex Statements of Work and managing contractual frameworks., • Skilled in development of executive performance reporting Personal Qualities • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills., • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities., • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills • Experience overseeing large-scale or multi-region project portfolios., • Familiarity with financial and commercial management tools. Your new role As Technical Manager, you will lead the Detailing and Design Office, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and cost-effective design solutions for architectural metalwork and structural steel projects. This is a senior leadership role where you will manage a team of detailers, oversee workflows, and act as the technical authority across all design stages from concept through to fabrication. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor the detailing and design team, driving technical excellence and continuous improvement. Review and approve fabrication drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Provide technical guidance on material selection, connection details, and fabrication techniques. Implement quality control procedures and ensure adherence to relevant codes (BS EN, Eurocodes, AWS). Collaborate with estimating, production, and site teams to align design intent with practical execution. Attend client meetings and site visits to resolve design challenges and manage change requests. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in architectural metalwork and structural steel detailing. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, or similar 3D modelling software. Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and erection methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Degree or HND in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 5 to7 years' experience in a technical or managerial role within steel fabrication or architectural metalwork. Chartered status (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
