Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering

We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor that has recently secured several five-year clean and wastewater framework contracts across South and West Wales. As a result of these significant contract awards, the business is expanding its commercial team and is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of these long-term infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work and clear opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for either a major scheme valued at approximately £10 million or manage several smaller projects running concurrently across the framework programme. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in a civil engineering environment, either operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up into a senior role. Key Responsibilities • Commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, • Preparation and management of project cost reports and forecasts, • Subcontractor procurement, management, and account settlement, • Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and payment applications, • Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery Key Requirements • Strong commercial experience within the civil engineering sector, • Experience working with NEC contracts (essential), • Ability to manage multiple projects or lead the commercial delivery of a major scheme, • Water sector experience desirable but not essential What’s on Offer • £65,000 – £70,000 salary, • Attractive benefits package, • Long-term secured work through established framework agreements, • Opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects across South & West Wales, • Excellent career development within a growing commercial team This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor delivering long-term infrastructure improvements across the Welsh water sector
