Meet the Protection Sales Team We’re a growing team of almost 30 dedicated Protection Advisors, led by two experienced Sales Managers. How we work We keep things flexible but structured to make sure we’re there when our customers need us. Our Protection Advisors work a 39 hour week, on 3 shift patterns to align with our opening hours and a 1 hour lunch break. You will have a set weekly rota made up of the below shifts. (Usually 2 Early shifts and 1 x Mid , 1x Late) • Early - 9am-6pm, • Mid - 10am-7pm, • Late- 11am-8pm We keep it fair, balanced, and always aim to work smarter - not longer. What will you be doing? • Picking up live transfers and pre-booked calls from our fantastic team of Mortgage Advisors, • Arranging protection reviews with our customers both new and existing, by contacting them and helping them to recognise the need for protection products., • Conducting in-depth reviews of customers protection needs, especially in relation to protecting their mortgage, by exploring current provision and agreeing future aims., • Provide advice and recommend the best protection products for the customers personal circumstances., • Be a wealth of knowledge on the protection marketplace (income protection, life cover and critical illness) so you can ensure the customer gets the right products at the best price., • Complete Insurance applications and medical questionnaires, • Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation, • Producing insurance quotes and issuing policy documentation and Liaising with underwriters to ensure the best possible outcome for the client. What do we need from you? • Ideally, 2+ years previous experience in an advised Protection role with knowledge of income protection, life cover and critical illness products., • CeMAP, CertPro or R05 - or a willingness to work towards and achieve this in your first 3 months of employment (self-funded)., • You’ll need to have whole of market (WOM) or large panel experience, • Strong verbal and listening communication skills is essential, • We are people people, and that's what our customers love. Market Design Lead – Switching & Registration Who Are RECCo? We are an independent, non-profit organisation responsible for the Retail Energy Code — a key part of how the GB retail energy market is regulated. But we don’t just manage rules. We look ahead, not just react, helping the market change in the right way. We deliver secure digital services, clear governance, and practical solutions that protect consumers, support innovation, and help the energy system move towards net zero. What you’ll be doing The Market Design Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the evolution of the retail energy market in Great Britain. Operating as part of the Design Authority for the Retail Energy Code, this role ensures that market design decisions are coherent, consumer-centric, operationally viable, consistent with regulatory and technical frameworks and aligned with broader strategic objectives. They will lead on the design and review of proposals that impact the functioning of retail market arrangements and maintain a strong interface between policy, strategy, business process, technical, assurance and implementation requirements. As part of a multidisciplinary Market Design Team, the Market Design Lead is responsible for leading design thinking and analysis to enhance the Retail Energy Code and its services. This will involve close collaboration with other design leads, senior stakeholders, internal teams (such as data, technology and strategy teams), project teams, REC service providers and REC stakeholders to deliver cohesive enhancements to the retail energy market, in accordance and compliance with RECCo’s regulatory obligations. This role will operate as the design lead for Switching and Registration in the REC. The REC sets out the governance, process, interfaces, technical requirements and assurance of the switching arrangements. This includes the requirements of the Centralised Registration Service (CRS) and Switching Data Service Providers, obligations for market participants, service management arrangements, data governance, data quality and process/obligations for market participants. The right candidate should have an interest, sound knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework, process, technical design, service management, governance and assurance of the REC switching arrangements; how these can be evolved to further the REC objectives; and how these interact with other codes outside of the REC. On-Site Installation & Commissioning • Install mechanical and hydraulic systems at customer sites, ensuring alignment with technical drawings and procedures., • Fit components such as motors, gearboxes, and bearings in accordance with design specifications., • Carry out hydraulic flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning under supervision or independently, depending on project scope. Service & Maintenance • Support ongoing equipment servicing, fault finding, and root cause analysis of hydraulic and mechanical systems., • Perform reactive and planned maintenance both in-house and at client facilities., • Prepare detailed reports following service visits, outlining issues found, actions taken, and recommendations. Collaboration & Documentation • Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure alignment on specifications and schedules., • Accurately record build, test, and service activities for traceability and compliance purposes., • Support continuous improvement activities related to service delivery and hydraulic build quality. Client Interaction & Travel • Represent DHX professionally during site visits and service interventions., • Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas as required for installation or commissioning activities. Skills & Experience Required • Mechanical apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent., • Experience working with hydraulic systems, including build, maintenance, or commissioning., • Good understanding of hydraulic principles and mechanical assembly techniques., • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities across hydraulic and mechanical equipment., • Proficient in interpreting mechanical and hydraulic schematics and general arrangement drawings., • Familiarity with safe working practices and health & safety regulations., • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in both workshop and field environments., • Effective communicator with a proactive, collaborative attitude.
