    Summary of Position The Restaurant Manager owns the total store operating result: P&L, guest experience, people, food safety, standards and compliance. The RM plans the trading day, makes the final T-15 readiness decision, commands through the parallel ARM/Shift Leader/Kitchen Manager structure, owns store-level escalations and ensures truthful commercial, people and operating evidence. Key Performance Areas (KPAs) • Trading-Day Plan & Store Readiness, • Live Store Command & Guest Outcome, • P&L, Cost & Cash Control, • Food Safety, Compliance & Risk, • People, Certification & Succession, • Close, Data & Reporting Duties & Responsibilities Trading-Day Plan & Store Readiness • Read operating data and known conditions, set the day's priorities and run the T-60 briefing., • Make the T-15 GO / NO-GO readiness decision using the approved store-operating standard. Live Store Command & Guest Outcome • Command the store through parallel Shift Leader, ARM and Kitchen Manager ownership, intervening on escalation without collapsing role accountability., • Own the guest-experience outcome and final escalation/recovery decisions within published authority., • Lead high-severity or multi-playbook incidents and interface with Area Manager/Country Head/platform functions as required. P&L, Cost & Cash Control • Control daily commercial/financial signals, labour, food and controllable-cost actions, void/discount authority and cash reconciliation., • Where food-cost variance exceeds 2% of theoretical under the current operating standard, require root-cause action and log it by end of day., • Independently reconcile the Shift Leader's end-of-day cash count the next morning. Food Safety, Compliance & Risk • Verify food-safety, allergen, legal/compliance and safe-to-operate corrective action; do not author functional standards outside RM authority. People, Certification & Succession • Own store people deployment, scheduling discipline, performance follow-up, development and succession execution., • Ensure only appropriately certified people are assigned to roles/stations under the current approved control., • Issue final certifications for designated store roles only where the Academy assigns RM as certifier. Close, Data & Reporting • Verify store close and next-morning controls, explicitly carrying forward unresolved issues., • Complete DOL/dashboard/daily-log narrative, exception escalation and operating-data evidence truthfully and on time. Additional Responsibilities & Reporting • Undertake responsibilities assigned by the Direct Supervisor. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • T-60 briefing and T-15 GO / NO-GO readiness decision are completed to standard., • Store P&L, labour, food cost and controllable-cost actions are actively managed against approved targets., • Food-cost variance above 2% of theoretical triggers root-cause action and end-of-day logging under the current standard., • Shift Leader cash count receives independent RM next-morning reconciliation., • Only appropriately certified employees are independently assigned to roles/stations., • DOL, daily log, close, compliance and escalation evidence is complete and truthful. Qualifications • For internal progression, hold current ARM certification and complete the Restaurant Manager Development Plan; external appointments must satisfy People OS hiring rules and equivalent operating experience., • Strong whole-store knowledge across FOH, BOH, P&L, labour/food cost, guest recovery, food safety and people leadership., • Ability to lead through role owners rather than personally absorbing every operating task., • Complete current Restaurant Manager certification before independent store accountability. POS & Service Execution · Enter the confirmed order in POS immediately; never carry an order verbally to the kitchen or use an unofficial outage workaround. · Serve beverages and support food service to the correct guest/table, announce dishes correctly and never guess who ordered what. Guest Experience Monitoring · Check back within 2 minutes of the first bite, refill water proactively and continuously scan the section for needs. · Escalate complaints and food-safety concerns immediately; do not promise recovery outside published authority. Billing, Recovery & Playbooks · Present the bill only when requested and execute the approved payment, void and discount process. · Execute relevant failure-playbook first actions and remain inside Waiter authority. · Close the experience with a genuine farewell. Section Readiness & Teamwork · Maintain a clean, organized and ready section and coordinate with Runner, Bartender and Shift Leader without blurring role ownership.
