This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established assembly operation, lead a team, and make a real impact on performance, quality, and people development.The Role Reporting into the Assembly Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team within the assembly department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to motivate your team, solve problems quickly, and use your initiative to keep production flowing efficiently.Key responsibilities include:Leading, coaching, and motivating assembly operatives across your shiftDelegating workload and ensuring tasks are completed effectivelyManaging day-to-day team performance and productivitySupporting holiday planning, absence management, and disciplinary processesEnsuring the smooth flow of the assembly line and identifying any issues that could impact productionWorking closely with management to resolve operational challengesMonitoring stock availability and supporting efficient material flowReviewing technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) where requiredDriving continuous improvement and sharing best practices across shiftsMaintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeepingAbout You We're looking for a confident and proactive leader who can hit the ground running and positively influence both people and performance.You'll ideally have:2-3 years' experience in a Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Supervisory roleExperience managing teams within a manufacturing, assembly, production, or engineering environmentStrong people management skills and the ability to gain team buy-inExperience dealing with day-to-day employee matters including attendance, holidays, and performance managementThe confidence to make decisions and resolve issues independentlyExposure to production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) would be advantageousAn understanding of manufacturing flow lines, stock control, and production processes is highly desirableThe Person Success in this role requires someone who demonstrates our core values every day:Care for colleagues, customers, and qualityCourage to make decisions and tackle challenges head-onCommitment to delivering results and supporting the wider teamYou'll be someone who:Leads by exampleCommunicates effectively at all levelsWorks collaboratively while driving accountabilityEnjoys developing and progressing othersStays calm under pressure and focuses on solutionsWhy Join?
