Enterprise Solution Architect – SAP S/4HANA Transformation (FMCG | Data & Integration Focus) Rate: £1,200 per day (Inside IR35) Location: London – 3 days onsite per week Duration: 5 year program Role Overview My client, a global leader in the FMCG sector, is seeking an accomplished Enterprise Solution Architect to drive a major SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programme. This role demands deep technical and strategic expertise in data architecture, migration, and integration, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-entity transformations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise architecture vision, ensuring the successful delivery of a Bluefield or hybrid migration, while embedding compliance, scalability, and innovation into every stage of the transformation. Key Responsibilities 1. End-to-End SAP S/4HANA Transformation Leadership • Lead the architecture design and execution across strategy, design, migration, deployment, and post–go-live support phases., • Define and own the target architecture for ECC → S/4HANA transition (Bluefield methodology preferred)., • Embed RISE with SAP, Clean Core principles, and Fit-to-Standard methodologies into the program., • Oversee global, multi-country, multi-entity implementations, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives. 2. Data Architecture & Migration Strategy • Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies—including archiving, carve-out, and retention frameworks., • Lead decision-making for migration scenarios (e.g., Open Items Only, Two Years + Current, or All Data)., • Utilize industry-standard tools such as SAP Data Services, SAP ILM, OpenText, and other ETL platforms., • Balance performance, cost, and compliance while ensuring data integrity and traceability throughout the migration lifecycle. 3. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment • Ensure all architecture and migration decisions align with GDPR, SOx, and local fiscal and statutory regulations., • Build compliance-by-design into data models, retention rules, and audit processes., • Partner with risk and legal teams to proactively address regulatory requirements in system and data design. 4. Stakeholder Leadership & Governance • Chair architecture boards, design authorities, and cross-functional working groups., • Influence and engage C-level executives and senior business stakeholders to drive consensus on complex architectural decisions., • Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and direction across business, functional, and technical teams., • Govern solution design to maintain architectural integrity, consistency, and quality across workstreams. 5. Technical Breadth & Innovation • Provide architectural oversight across SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, Integration Suite (CPI, PI/PO), custom code remediation, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)., • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies within the SAP ecosystem to drive business value., • Champion innovation by aligning SAP’s evolving roadmap (e.g., AI/ML, Sustainability, Digital Manufacturing) with business priorities., • Maintain strong working knowledge of SAP extensibility frameworks, event-driven architectures, and API-led integrations. Requirements • 2–3 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations, including at least one major ECC to S/4HANA migration (Bluefield experience advantageous)., • Proven track record as an S/4HANA Solution or Enterprise Architect on large-scale transformation programmes., • Strong expertise in data migration, integration, and data architecture within SAP landscapes., • Deep understanding of SAP migration tools and methodologies., • FMCG industry experience is highly desirable—especially across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions., • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and governance skills., • Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Architect, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect (preferred)., • Willingness to work 2–3 days onsite in London.
