Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Services Location: Cambridgeshire Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home that supports young people with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by shaping a service that provides stability, growth, and positive outcomes for children and young people. In this leadership role, you will take responsibility for the smooth and compliant running of the home, ensuring that care delivery meets the highest standards under the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and associated Quality Standards. You will provide visible leadership to your team, guiding staff in delivering consistent, high-quality care that prioritises the welfare, safety, and development of every young person. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the daily management and strategic direction of the home., • Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management to staff., • Promote safeguarding and ensure all practice complies with regulatory standards., • Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and administrative systems effectively., • Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, including local authorities, education providers, and families., • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages young people to achieve their goals and develop independence. About You You will be a motivated and confident leader with a strong understanding of children’s residential care. You’ll bring a balance of professionalism, empathy, and resilience to the role. Essential requirements: • A minimum of two years’ experience in a senior or deputy role within a children’s residential setting., • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks., • Proven ability to lead teams and manage resources effectively., • Hold, or be working towards, the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent)., • Excellent communication and organisational skills. Desirable: • Full UK driving licence., • Experience working with young people presenting complex needs.
