National Account Manager – Field Based (UK) Are you an experienced sales professional looking to step into a high-impact national role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation in the commercial foodservice solutions sector, working with major UK accounts and shaping the future of kitchen innovation. About the Role As a National Account Manager, you will lead key client relationships, drive targeted growth, and uncover new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class solutions that meet the evolving needs of the foodservice industry. What You’ll Be Doing • Develop, secure, and maintain product specifications within a portfolio of national and strategic accounts., • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements in line with business objectives., • Build strong relationships at all levels, from board members to field sales teams, purchasing managers, equipment specifiers and food development departments., • Identify new product and market opportunities by tracking trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity., • Stay current on market conditions and industry developments through research and networking., • Provide detailed reports on customer needs, competitive insights, and opportunities for new products., • Collaborate effectively with internal sales, marketing, and external partners to generate leads and develop new business strategies., • Participate in trade shows, events, and industry conventions., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records daily., • Support swift resolution of customer issues and complaints., • Plan travel and customer visits across the UK to maximise productivity., • Contribute flexibly as part of the wider sales team, supporting colleagues as needed., • Create and manage pricing structures, including implementation of price adjustments., • Work alongside the culinary team on trials and product implementation., • Gather feedback and share insights with internal teams for continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For Experience: • A proven track record in sales, ideally within the commercial catering equipment or related industry., • Experience selling to both end users and distributors, with a history of developing accounts and achieving targeted growth., • Ability to demonstrate commercial equipment and deliver effective presentations. Skills & Knowledge: • Proactive, confident decision-maker aligned with wider business goals., • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships at all levels., • Commercially aware, skilled negotiator with strong analytical ability., • High attention to detail and ability to monitor performance accurately., • Curious, strategic thinker who explores opportunities fully and creatively., • Flexible and supportive team player., • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to produce high-quality reports and documentation., • Experience using CRM systems to maximise pipeline visibility and customer management., • Willing to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays (approx. 2–3 nights per week).
