Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager Team Lead for Leidos Europe Ltd. You will assist and reports directly to the Contracts and supply chain Director. This role is a senior leadership position both within the Commercial function and within the LCST programme with line management responsibilities of approx. 5 direct reports. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Manages a team of ~5 individuals with everyday management responsibilities, tasking, coaching and workload management., • Part of the programme leadership team, with regular interaction, reporting and dialogue with senior executive management across the programme and the wider UK business., • Regular briefing to executive management, • Part of the contracts and supply chain leadership team, setting example, looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the function, • Provides commercial, contractual and technical interpretation on contract terms and conditions both customer and supplier facing., • Leads contractual interactions with the Customer and where escalation is required, with the supply chain, • Leads and supports others with the identification and preparation of contract change proposals, • Review, scrutinize, and develop operational process flows, • Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of the contract are clear to all parties, • Ensure that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations, • Develop and maintain robust working relationships with the customer, Key Suppliers and the commercial team, • Prepare responses to queries by undertaking customs, excise, or export controls technical research, • Broad understanding of, and experience in implementing UK export controls (Military and Dual Use) trade procedures and documentation, • Must be a working manager, taking an active role in the performance of the contract and proactively working to identify risks, issues and opportunities and develop and implement strategies to mitigate the risks, resolve the issues and capitalize on the opportunities, and will be willing to cross functional lines to provide support to the programme leadership team when and where needed, • Support role in regular, intensive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual technical and financial governance meetings in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively, both internally, with technical staff, peers, and management as well as externally, with customers, regulators and others, • Strong comprehension of programme technical performance metrics and financial status, • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, • Liaison with other Leidos operating units and corporate departments where applicable Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field,, • Extensive experience including experience managing large programmes/contracts employing complex business models, • Team lead and/or management experience Desired Skills: • Master’s degree in business or a related field, • Experience managing and negotiating contracts with UK Government or Ministry of Defence Clearance Requirements: * Pre-screening required to start: BPSS Leidos UK! As an experienced Traffic Management Operative, you will be required to work on Traffic Management Schemes for a range of projects, helping them to run smoothly and efficiently to achieve maximum production in a working day, whilst maintaining a high Health and Safety standard. This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business. You must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required. You must have a can do and responsible attitude to work. We are looking for someone to: • Oversee all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Convoy working, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions, • Ensure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures, • Carry out risk assessments and method statements on works involving traffic management, • Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible. Identify areas that can be improved and report to your line manager, • Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out – to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of vehicle and the safety of the driver and passenger, • Promote positive company image whilst at work (via wearing of company clothing, attitude, and site cleanliness), • Demonstrate initiative by constantly looking to see where improvements can be made, • Assist the public, directing them through safe site lines when required, • Only undertake Traffic Management activities that you have the qualification to undertake (LANTRA), • All Traffic Management setups must be compliant with guidance and legislation (Red Book, Chapter 8, ARTSM etc.), • Regularly check your site to ensure it remains compliant, • Report any unsafe acts and conditions, and rectify immediately if safe and competent to do so, • Drive safely and avoid distractions. Description Programme Name: LCST Location: Bristol Role Overview: We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join the team on a 16-month fixed term contract. Leidos Europe subsidiary, Leidos Supply Ltd (LSL), part of the Commodity Support Services (CSS) team within Team Leidos. Providing commercial support and advice to both team members and other stakeholders through the letting and management of contracts. Ensuring that the necessary professional standards are maintained for all commercial work and further the aim of achieving the most cost-effective procurement of requirements and deliver the benefits required by Team Leidos under Logistic Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST). Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Be responsible for the commercial activity associated with the change of the Sovereign’s monogram to The King’s cypher within Defence Clothing, • To ensure that all commercial activity within your area of responsibility is performed to the highest standards, conforms to Procurement Act 2023 and Leidos Policies and Procedures and is monitored to ensure continuous improvement with the overall aim of obtaining best value for money, • To proactively participate in development and implementation of Category Strategies to ensure these fully satisfy LSL requirements, • To draft and issue ITTs/ITNs, contracts etc. and manage the associated procurement process up to and beyond contract award, • To negotiate contract terms, conditions and prices within delegated/licensed powers for Procurement activity with a view to delivering against the Benefits Realisation Plan, • Undertake contract/team administration as required, • Maintain professional standards and provide commercial support and advice to staff, stakeholders and customers, • To effectively manage the contracts within your responsibility by building strong working relationships with both contractor, customer, and colleagues where necessary, • To assist in setting targets and objectives for LSL and to support and monitor achievement against these, • Ensure Commercial MI is accurate and up to date and submitted on time., • To actively contribute to the development of LSL tools, processes and procedures, thereby supporting Team Leidos Transformation, • Continuing Professional and Personal Development to ensure currency with EU and Commercial Procurement practices and Regulations and maximise contribution to the business, • Mentor junior staff within LSL to facilitate their personal and professional development, • Trained in, and fully observant of, Good Distribution Practice (PGD) obligations and best practices Skills Required: • Prior relevant experience within the commercial or procurement profession, • Good written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work as a member of a team, • Numerate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, • Public-Sector knowledge and experience (including application of EU Regulations) Skills Desired: • BA degree / Masters with prior experience within the commercial or procurement profession, • Project Management experience, • MCIPS or working towards, • Knowledge of MoD procurement processes, • Experience of using e-procurement tools Clearance Requirements: • BPSS pre-screening to start and for the role What we do for you: At Leidos we are PASSIONATE about customer success, UNITED as a team and INSPIRED to make a difference. Description Programme: LCST (Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation) Location: Bristol Role Overview: As a IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading, designing and delivering complex end to end solutions using a multitude of applications and technologies within the supply chain management business domain. This role will assure that the solution architecture can meet the key project functional and non-functional requirements identified for the LCST programme. The IT Solution Architect will lead the solution development through all phases of the delivery lifecycle, from requirements capture, high level design, low level design, development into the release and solution sustainment phases. Duties and Responsibilities: You will provide support to the Head of Architect (including at times covering for on a temporary basis) on a variety of design decisions including: • Solution evaluation: buy vs. build vs reuse, • Platform selection, • Early-phase project estimates, • Ensuring compliance with all design principles and architecture frameworks, • Ensuring compliance with technical, security, customer and regulatory standards., • Supporting customer and stakeholder meetings and technical discussions. Skills Required: • Previous experience as a Solution Architect on large complex customer projects, • Production of cross domain (Business, Application Data, Infrastructure, Security) end to end architecture deliverables, such as proposal designs, high level designs and interface specifications, • Experience in bespoke and COTS applications, • Experience in integration concepts and technologies e.g. SOA, ESBs, EAI, XML, Web Services, MQ, • Experience working with large scale, distributed event driven architectures., • Experience in cloud with AWS or similar, • Experience in working collaboratively within a multi-supplier/vendor environment, • Strong consulting, leading and mentoring skills along with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, • Broad knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of application technologies, platforms, and tools including web-based systems databases, middleware/integration technologies, security, and infrastructure, • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, • Excellent analytical and technical skills, • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or extensive related experience Skills Desired: • Experience in multi-stakeholder logistics/ supply chain management solutions using modern commercial solutions such as:, • Integration Platforms, • Manufacturing/Repairs systems,, • Warehouse Management Systems,, • Transport Management Systems,, • Order Management System,, • Inventory Management Systems, • Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, • Procurement Systems, • Data, Analytics and MI systems, • Experience in TOGAF/MODAF is desirable, • Experience in Archimate, • Experience working in a CMMI level 3 environment Clearance Requirements: • BPSS Pre-screening required to start, • SC Required for role Leidos UK!
