The Role As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team across a mix of groundworks, civil engineering, highways and infrastructure jobs. The role is office based in Hemel Hempstead, with site visits when needed, so you will get a good mix of commercial admin, project work and time out on live sites. Preparing and assisting with applications for payment Supporting variation and compensation event notices and quotations Cost tracking and general commercial administration Assisting with forecasting and CVRs Measures and take-offs using Bluebeam Supporting material procurement Attending site visits and site meetings Keeping accurate commercial records Working across multiple civils and infrastructure projects, usually up to around £4m in value What We Are Looking For Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor role Contractor or subcontractor experience preferred Civils, civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, highways or infrastructure experience would be useful, but it is not essential Good understanding of QS processes and a practical, positive attitude Experience with Bluebeam for measures and take-offs Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail Full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel to sites when required CSCS card required Why Join Them?
