About the Role: The Financial Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial operations across multiple entities, including venue operations,partnerships, and central costs. This is a hands-on leadership position, combining day-to-day financial management with reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational leadership, FP&A, and international stakeholders, you will ensure financial accuracy, support decision-making, and drive improvements in processes and controls.Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development • Lead, coach, and develop members of the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture., • Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the team.Process Improvement & Operational Excellence, • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy., • Leverage automation and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness., • Support wider business initiatives and cross-functional projects as required.Month-End Close & Balance Sheet Oversight, • Oversee month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journals., • Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies as needed., • Maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting processes.Financial Reporting & Compliance, • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across all business divisions., • Prepare statutory accounts and manage audit processes, tax filings, VAT, and other compliance requirements., • Support group reporting requirements, including alignment with international standards.Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning, • Work closely with FP&A to support budgeting and forecasting cycles., • Provide insight into financial performance and variance analysis to aid decision-making., • Assist with capital expenditure tracking and forward planning.What You Bring, • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred., • Demonstrated experience in a financial leadership role, ideally within a multi-entity environment., • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance., • Experience working with international or group reporting structures is advantageous., • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail., • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams., • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels., • Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise., • Exposure to process improvement, automation, or AI-driven finance tools is beneficial., • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
