Job Description Construction Accounting Coordinator – JRP Design & Remodel Westlake Village, CA – On-site Are you an organized, detail-driven accounting professional who enjoys keeping luxury residential projects financially on track? We are seeking a Construction Accounting Coordinator to support the financial operations behind high-end remodels and custom homes. This role ensures that invoices, job costs, and contractor documentation are accurate, organized, and processed on time. The Role As a Construction Accounting Coordinator, you’ll support the financial side of active residential projects. Working closely with the Accounting Manager, Project Managers, trade contractors, and vendors, you’ll ensure invoices are accurate, job costs are tracked, and contractor compliance documentation is maintained. Your work keeps projects running smoothly and protects the company from financial and compliance risks. Key Responsibilities • Manage accounting inbox, review/process trade contractor and vendor invoices, and enter transactions in QuickBooks and Buildertrend with accurate job cost allocation, • Verify invoices against purchase orders and coordinate approvals with Project Managers, • Process payments and maintain contractor compliance documentation, including licenses, insurance, W-9 forms, lien releases, and preliminary notices, • Generate client invoices, record incoming payments, and reconcile credit card and bank statements, • Maintain organized financial and project records and support the Accounting Manager with administrative tasks What We’re Looking For • 3+ years accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience in a general contracting, residential remodeling, or construction environment, including hands-on job costing experience, • Experience with QuickBooks, Buildertrend (or similar), Excel, and Microsoft Office, • Familiarity with 20-day preliminary notices and lien releases, • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects, • Professional communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality, • Relatively close to our Westlake Village office (on-site required) Compensation & Benefits • $36–$45/hour, depending on experience (~$75,000–$95,000 annually), • Simple IRA with employer match, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Flexible PTO and sick days, increasing with tenure How to Apply • Please submit updated resume We have a formal recruiting process and have a relationship with Zephyr Connects LLC, whom we use for the screening and hiring process.
