To learn more about who we are, visit us at and click on our “Company” page. ROLE: We have an immediate need for an Area Manager in the Las Vegas/Henderson market. This role supports operations at our four Las Vegas area properties. In this role you will optimize the performance of the properties, ensure policy and procedure are met, and drive business. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and lead a team of dedicate employees. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in self-storage, retail or multi-unit management. This role requires strong sales, marketing, recruiting, management and coaching experience. AREA MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): • Supporting Property Managers operationally and anticipating areas of concern, • Regularly visiting all assigned property locations, • Covering staff shortages at assigned properties, • Responding to after-hours security calls, • Validating competition information, • Responding to and following up with customer service issues and concerns, • Conducting site reviews and audits, • Inspecting properties for safety violations and security equipment malfunction, • Facilitating operational adjustments, lien processes, and protection plan sales, • Supporting CAPX budgeted projects, • Screening employment applications and conducting interviews, • Supporting continuing training and education at the store level, • Managing store staff schedules, approving time off requests, and timecards, • Evaluating store staff, • Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated to accomplish tasks, • Ability to build trust and confidence with staff and management, • Ability to perceive potential problems and react quickly with good judgement, • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deal with numerous interruptions, • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills, • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success, • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or similar field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations management within a retail setting or related field is required; self-storage experience preferred, • Demonstrated recruiting, training and coaching experience, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Computer skills including solid understanding of the Microsoft suite of products, • Ability to understand budgets and basic accounting principles, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed performance standards, • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity, • Ability to proficiently read, write and communicate using the English language to perform job functions, • This is a non-exempt position.
