Job Description The administrative support/accounting clerk will provide general administrative and accounting support to the pipeline safety and risk department in an effort to achieve departmental and corporate goals and objectives. Responsibilities will include composing routine correspondence, updating existing company documents, purchasing functions including originating blanket purchase orders, paying releases on invoices, and issuing regular reports following established procedures. Responsibilities * Compose and update documents * Edit communications * Provide general administrative support * Perform billing and accounting responsibilities * Create and maintain spreadsheets * Invoicing and reconciliation * Assembling, sorting, and tabulating codes * Processing invoices and expense reports * Maintain and promote excellent vendor relations Qualifications * High school diploma or high school equivalency. * Associate degree in business or related major preferred. * A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative/accounting role. * Effective communication skills including listening, oral and writing skills to process information timely and accurately. * Demonstrated proficiency in personal computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office software products. Proficiency in keying and software program features. * Effective people skills, a customer-service focus, and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment. * Effective analytical and critical thinking skills. * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. * Communicate and collaborate with other administrators and support personnel on a regular basis. * Write professionally, using proper spelling and grammar. * Make independent decisions, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
