Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in CCH Axcess to join our team in Iselin, New Jersey. In this role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the platform, driving system enhancements, process optimization, and data integration efforts. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to collaborate across teams and contribute to the success of tax operations and enterprise automation strategies. Responsibilities: • Act as the subject matter expert for CCH Axcess, managing modules like Tax, Practice, Workflow, and Document., • Translate business requirements into system-specific configurations and enhancements to improve tax workflows., • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure stable platform performance and compliance., • Conduct process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend automation opportunities., • Develop detailed documentation including process maps, data flow diagrams, and system requirements., • Support the integration of CCH Axcess with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data transfers., • Analyze operational data to create reports and dashboards that monitor workflow performance and user adoption., • Define and track KPIs for platform modules while identifying trends to guide improvements., • Ensure all data and integrations comply with governance, security, and confidentiality standards., • Foster collaboration between tax, technical, and compliance teams to align enterprise strategies.• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field., • 5–8 years of experience in a hybrid Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Application role within a detail-oriented services environment., • Extensive knowledge of CCH Axcess or iManage, including configuration, workflows, and integrations., • Proficiency in developing APIs, data mapping, and workflow automation for enterprise systems., • Experience with tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or Power Automate., • Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert complex datasets into actionable insights., • Excellent documentation and communication abilities., • Familiarity with tax data processes and enterprise compliance requirements.

Job DescriptionBA or Technical Payroll Analyst Other titles: Business analyst, Technical analyst, Payroll analyst, Payroll Systems analyst, etc. Hybrid 50% Location: NY,NY Contract: 9 months (possible extension based on client need) The initiative for this project is to modernize and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate and compliant processing of employee compensation and tax documentation. The Business Analyst will support key HR Payroll applications, focusing on implementing tax updates and regulatory changes, improving system reliability and data accuracy through rigorous testing and simulation, and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions. The role also ensures compliance with labor laws and contractual obligations, contributing to data integrity, transparency, and accountability in payroll operations. Additionally, the initiative promotes interoperability across related HR and timekeeping systems. Top skills: • Business Analysis - experience analyzing and documenting business requirements, authoring functional and technical specifications, and translating them into actionable development tasks., • Payroll Systems - experience supporting Payroll (PMS) and W2 Amendment (W2AM) applications, • Testing/QA - experience support both system and user acceptance testing Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working with an enterprise wide, large-scale environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of PMS and PPMS (payroll processes), NYCAPS (personnel), CityTime (timekeeping) and CHRMS canned reports and Ad Hoc facility. Extensive knowledge of Fair Labor and Standards Act (FLSA) Overtime processing rules. Extensive knowledge of contractual overtime processing rules. Experience with application configuration design and set-up. Knowledge and experience in IBM Mainframe environments, QMF, SQL, MS SQL Server. Understanding of relational databases (e.g. DB2). Proficiency running back-end/database queries for data analysis (DB2 on Mainframe). Clearly document and explain problems and to work with others to resolve software defects while ensuring technical compatibility and end user satisfaction.
